@Stu Haha, yeah, I loved Submarine when I went to see it. Probably the best film I've seen so far this year.

Anyway, I watched Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix last night on UTV. It was always one of my favourite Potters, and I still enjoy it even now. Next I'm hoping to either see Cowboys & Aliens (which will probably be terrible, but the original teaser means I have to watch it in case it matches the quality of the film) or The Inbetweeners Movie, which I must not miss no matter what life throws at me.

Re-watched 61 a few days ago. Really enjoyed this again. Billy Crystal does a fine job in showing the chase for the elusive Babe Ruth homerun record. Good cast in Pepper and Jane.

Watched 127 hours again last night on blu ray. What an amazing story and progression of a movie. Franco is just righteous in this role. Danny Boyle did not disappoint. The fact he could take something with seemingly no plot besides seclusion and despair and make it so entertaining was impressive.

I'll be looking for Boyles next movie, the cinematography was supreme, the acting was top notch and the reverence for life was inspiring. Awesome movie. 5/5!

Haven't seen it yet. My ex still has it lol. Gotta pick that up and watch it.

Yea I watched that last night after I watched the documentary on Mickey Mantel on HBO. It is a great movie.

But, I'm A Cheerleader

This is the first lesbian romantic comedy I have seen. It is ok, but I feel as if only the lead characters have depth.

One of the best British films I've seen in ages. I love black comedies, and this works upon a paradoxical brand of twisted innocence. It's very amusing, in a completely understated way. The setting is also great, it seems to all take place in a small village surrounded by mountainous, craggy Welsh countryside and a barren coastline. It all conveys this insular, shadowy atmosphere that, coupled with the sharp dialogue and soundtrack, gives the whole thing this darkly enchanting aesthetic. Really good coming-of-age film, and it's directed by Richard Ayoade, he of IT Crowd fame.

Looking forward to this one myself. Ayoade is ridiculously underrated full stop. How the frig he does what he does in The IT crowd without cracking up is beyond me as he is certainly not the buffoon he portrays. He is brilliant in Garth Marenghis Dark Place. Actually he is sublime.

Watching this for a second time. it's so cute it hurts.

it's a documentary about a family who has an autistic son who goes to Mongolia to see if their shamanic traditions can "heal" their son. They ride across mongolia on horses and visit shaman to shaman.

Another one to put on your cult Horror film list. Haven't seen this bugger for well over 20 years and it turned up on Cable last night :)

It's awful but a great curio. Good luck finding it though.
