The beginning was a little meh, but it quickly improved and didn't slow down at all. It was actually pretty funny too. And the scene with Hit Girl and "Bad Reputation" was so great. |

hot fuzz starts out brilliantly, but loses steam with too many uninspired action sequences strung together(but there were also great action scenes too). i feel a little bit overloaded when watching this film. they tried to make it a buddy comedy, horror flick and mission impossible all rolled into one. they couldn't make it it mesh quite right but it has so many redeeming qualities that i can let it slide. i kinda wish they would have made it more of a comedy but it gets some laughs. all in all well done. i still prefer shaun of the dead though. |

 Despicable Me! I loved it!

I watched the last two Bourne sequels, and after watching all three in the span of about a week I can unequivocally say that Identity is the best of the bunch. It's not even close in my mind...

Just watched it again because it was showing on tv. Good fucking watch. |

Has anybody else seen The Other Guys and isn't completely biased towards Ferrell? I'm having a hard time deciding what to make of it...

I watched Kick Ass with some friends last night. It was entertaining but I probably wouldn't watch it again.

Basically, my opinion is mixed about this movie. Ferrell made me laugh but I didn't care for Wahlberg and I thought the supporting cast was disappointing. At times it was spoofing buddy-cop films and at other times it was embracing them, so I'm not sure what to make of it other than it was a mixed bag... |

Fascinating story and lot's to admire but there are a quite a few CGI shots that don't sit well with me and considering the films timeline (late 60's onwards). I felt that they were superfluous and at odds with what the film set up to do. I would have much preferred something a lot more down to earth , shot on film and a little more grittier that complimented the films setting. Jake Gyllenhall is useless too and I am still not convinced by his acting but the films second half definitely pulled me in and I so wanted him to see justice done. Certainly worth a watch and it is understated and well acted but the films digital sheen definitely distracted me. |

 Moderator cut: image removed
It was decent. I started to watch it half distracted and figured it was just a step above porn with a meager plot line. Rewatched the beginning all the way through to the end and realized it was something a little better than that. But still, I finished not really feeling much for the characters, their troubles, or their relationships. 4/10 Moderator cut: image removed I'm not familiar with French film at all, and watched this as it was suggested for instant viewing on Netflix. I know this film won many awards, and supposedly Isabelle Huppert is a brilliant actress (only gathering that from comments on Netflix as I have nothing else to base it on). But I didn't care for the film at all, and I especially didn't care for her acting. I know she was supposed to come off as emotionally withdrawn, hard, and in control. But I just thought she was wooden, dead. Her acting really perturbed me. The story itself was very disturbing as I imagine was the intent, but some things didn't add up. And the end...pft. 3/10 |

I watched this with my friend and my brother a few days ago. MEH. It's not just a case of "I don't like basketball, so I won't like this.", it's just not a well made documentary. My friend and brother were both bored as well. 3/10 http://i47.tinypic.com/311lxt1.jpg Both for the first time. Holy ****, these movies are amazing. I'm gonna get flamed for this but... I might like these more than Pulp Fiction. We shall see how they hold up on repeted viewings however, because I'm definately buying them both. 10/10 American Splendor Good but not great. I liked it overall, but won't watch it again. The scene where they're talking about Revenge of the Nerds in the car was pretty damn great though. 7/10 |

Today I saw Thirteen Ghosts. It was difficult to understand what was happening, because for some reason the whole film was very dark. I do not know if that was to be the dark. But the real story was quite good. Need to look at it, I think.
