I've played every single GTA except 5 and I don't even like the series.

What a surprise. MicShazam "doesn't even like" yet another beloved franchise.

So do you think that people should get with the program and like what's popular?

Besides, Saint's Row exists, so my brain is like "GTA? What's a GTA?"

You probably have very much the same view of those games that I do.

I dont even like it either.

Earlier today I spent ten minutes in GTA 5 wandering around the desert shooting at birds and was thoroughly entertained. Then I wandered around a mountain with the intent of strolling my happy ass all the way to my far off destination, shooting mountain lions on the way, and thinking about later starting on one end of the map and going on a journey to the other side where I never once looked at the map. So you boring ****s clearly need someone else to engineer your fun for you.

MicShazam 10-05-2018 02:58 PM

I'm honestly just 99% over open world/sand box games.

The time I've spent dicking around in such games is non-trivial. But I'm done.

I can go for a walk and see nothing but wackass residential areas for as long as I could stay on my feet, and then I'd have to walk all the way back. Unarmed. And if I did decide to start shooting at birds in the middle of Portsmouth I imagine the police might have something to say. And **** the outside.

yet you can't into Red Dead Redemption which provides an actually interesting aesthetic
Cowboys are lame as ****.

Standard Tolkien derived fantasy is the lamest setting possible. So unimaginative and just really pretty lame.

Too few games put any real spin on it.

Bleh. The cowboy stereotype way of speaking is cringy, those Western towns are boring settings, the hats are stupid, etc.

This is partially true but ****ing elves and orcs, man, hell yeah!

My interest in video games has dropped dramatically over the last year especially. Not sure why, but It's a pretty extreme decrease. I can easily go a month where I barely touch any games.

Part of the reason for why I dislike so many popular games is probably that I just generally don't like the gaming hobby so much anymore. I feel like my need for more interesting experiences hasn't been met, so I'm doing other things instead.
