Ok both you and Pete have talked me into it. :finger:

You just gave me the urge to steal Pokemon: Platinum off the internet. Just started a new game.

There's no grinding like Pokemon grinding, personally i like to pick the most retarded looking pokemons and beef them up to a threat. atm im working on Lileep

I'm still playing the hell out of MGSV...I almost freaked when I thought the game was over after Chapter 1, considering almost nothing got answered in that chapter. When it started with the preview of Chapter 2, I calmed down a bit. I love the 80's action movie theme he's got going throughout the game.

When I need a break from the espionage I've been playing Super Meat Boy...what an addictive game.

I'd say play Dark Souls II first because it explains a lot more of the games' mechanics than Dark Souls did.

I remember you some time ago stating how much you love MGS in general as do I. Despite the usual overblown cinematic sequences and expected over the top storyline I've not played MGSV as I'm saving it for when I get my PS4 in the coming weeks, despite knowing that the game is heavily criticized.

I checked out Super Beat Boy and that is a definite for me as well, as I'm a lover of old school platformers

If I see Dark Souls I cheap I'll buy it, if not I just might do as you suggest and start with Dark Souls II.

Super Meat Boy is ace. Has a great soundtrack too. I played it on XB360 a few years back but am not sure I have the patience to play it again on PS4 as it's extremely difficult and very unforgiving.

Other than PC it seems really hard to find on sale for consoles.

Mr. Charlie 10-27-2015 04:02 PM

It's currently free on PS4 providing you're a PS Plus subscriber and will be for another week or so. :)

Looks like I'll have to wait, but I do know its available on 360.

Mr. Charlie 10-27-2015 05:22 PM

I thought you had a PS4?

He's planning to get one I think. I'm kind of wanting one too

Key 10-27-2015 10:14 PM

So, Alien Isolation has just arrived on Steam and it's on sale for the next day or so. Planning to get it strictly based on how much Batty likes it.

The Batlord 10-27-2015 10:48 PM

"Like" is somewhat of an odd word to use, but I definitely recommend it. Hey! We'll be locker buddies! That sounded weird...

I'll pick it up once I get paid. Been wanting to play it even before you mentioned it, but you made it sound so appealing that I just have to get it. Plus, I'm a big fan of what this game is in terms of survival horror-esque.

Waiting for Black Friday

Because I've worked out that for the price of a PS4 bundle now, in Black Friday week I can hopefully get both a PS4 a Wii U bundle for around the same price.

Unknown Soldier 10-30-2015 04:32 PM

Picked up Dark Souls on 360 today and started the game as the knight, struggled against the Asylum Demon and thought **** this is not going to work with the knight. Restarted with the Pyromancer and hell I'm destroying opponents from distance and flattened the asylum demon in minutes. Also when up close he's fast as well, so sticking with the pyromancer for the game.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (Afterbirth DLC)

Ok see you after I spend all weekend playing Afterbirth.

Sequoioideae 10-31-2015 12:35 AM

So, I've pretty much been playing MGSV for the past month or so exclusively. I'm trying to 100% it, but I don't really have the interest or time to play games when I work 40+ hours and am constantly in a need to listen to 5 albums at a time. Whatever though, I'm at 86%, so I'm slowly getting there, all side ops done, 80% animals captured, and trying to finish every side objective and S rank all the missions. D-Dog is pretty much essential, but
Spoiler for STORY SPOILERS WARNING:
though I'm still pissy about Quiet, why have all that time and effort spent on her equipment, learning how to use her, AND YOU CANT EVER GET HER BACK?!? For gameplay reasons, not having her anymore sucks dick, but I understand for story reasons. Why can't there be an end game where I can get her back? She has a sniper wolf costume for christ's sake. With her Brennan upgrade she made S ranking really tough missions insanely easy, and she could use different weapons to accommodate different play styles. So, she quickly became my favorite buddy, and one of the most useful. Yeah Kojima, I get that it's meant to make me feel this way, but what about practical ****?

Other than that, it's probably one of the best games I've played gameplay wise. I wish there was a bit more to do in the world though, it just feels a little empty and barren once you do everything.

Key 10-31-2015 01:42 AM

ohmahgod Afterbirth is awesome!!!

Oriphiel 10-31-2015 01:08 PM

I have no idea what this game is or where it came from, but it looks fucking awesome:

BloodFoxTK 10-31-2015 01:46 PM

This!

Black Francis 10-31-2015 05:37 PM

That new AC does look frickin awesome.

I love chess and this is a decent version. Good looking board and excellent AI.

Unknown Soldier 11-03-2015 10:53 AM

About to start Walking Dead season 2.

Two Spirit 11-05-2015 12:57 PM

Anyone else buying Black Ops 3 for PS4?

Mr. Charlie 11-05-2015 06:21 PM

Nah. I gave up on Call of Duty after Modern Warfare.

Mr. Charlie 11-09-2015 09:03 PM

Been playing the original Bayonetta (Wii U version). One of my favourite games of all time. A masterpiece. The depth of gameplay is staggering.

Carpe Mortem 11-10-2015 05:42 PM

Woe is me, I broke down and got a damn tablet. I gotta say, Shadowrun Returns is a solid ****in game with no pay as you go bull****.

Any recs for likewise decent play store stuff? Its actually kinda nice to chill out on the couch with my person and not be hogging the TV via console. Or push these tired old eyes into staring at a tiny gameboy.

Mr. Charlie 11-10-2015 05:48 PM

Welcome back, Carpe.

Ashwell John 11-10-2015 06:52 PM

Just played Car Racing from getting up to the bed. Enjoying!

Carpe Mortem 11-10-2015 09:17 PM

Thanks Charlieman

Unknown Soldier 11-11-2015 04:47 AM

Playing Walking Dead season 2 and it's even more gripping than the first game.

Robot Unicorn Attack is my go to cellphone game. I hear Clash of Clans(?), is pretty good also.

The Batlord 11-13-2015 05:32 PM

God damn it. I haven't played Alien: Isolation in weeks, because I am terrified of it, but I'm getting the urge while watching GirlGamerGab play it, and I don't want the urge. But it's not even 8pm, so what excuse do I have?

****.

Alright, you know what, I send a challenge to Ki! If he's willing to finish Civil War, then I will finish Alien: Isolation.

We can debate over just how much you have to read, since it's a hundred rage or something series, but you have to finish a fair amount of the end.
