oh ive got a whole list what im playing
serious sam, assassins creed, rage, mass effect2, eye divine cybermancy... and some old games like caesar I and age of mythology

Mykonos 12-07-2011 03:44 PM

Yeah, this game is terrible. Dark Crusade's narrator was a bad choice, and you'd expect his return in this turdbucket to be the low point of the voice acting. But no, the prepubescent Mexican cultists, Warlocks from Yorkshire and Spess Mehreen commander take it to the next level.

Although I don't play that many games, I'm very into FIFA (2006, 2007 (best one), 2009, 2012), and I'm crazy about Ratchet and Clank. Love every single one. the best was Up Your Arsenal, which seemed so futuristic at the time, but no looks soo retro!

That is an awesome game too!!! For it's time, they'd done a fantastic job with the graphics. Remember planet Joba? That was awesome. And that last planet where you fight the Protopet was really scary. I'm very proud of the fact that I own every single Ryno ever made. First one's the best in my opinion. Every boss dies after about three shots.

the graphics still stand up these days

i think the best thing about those games were the controls, i couldn't believe how smooth and intuitive they are

Agreed. You really noticed it with the hoverbikes and giant clank.

New PS3 exclusive from Naughty Dog. Seems to be very similar to I Am Legend. Interested to see what this turns into.

I loved R&C back in the PS2 days. Every single one of those games were classics. I actually recently returned to Up Your Arsenal only about a year ago and it's still as fun as it ever was! Having a 360, I feel like I really miss out on platformers...

Anyhoo, I've been playing a lot of Halo: Reach online lately. Solid game.

Yeah that's another thing all of the Ratchet & Clank games had a great sense of humor.

I laughed myself senseless at the Zeldrin starport:

Quark to monkey: "I thought we agreed to put that jungle business behind us!"

Monkey: "Mkkkwaaak!!!"

Quark: "It was mating season! How was I to have known she was your sister?"

[Notices Ratchet and Clank]

Quark: "Ahhh, how long have you two been standing there?"

Clank: "Toooo long."

Borrowing Assassins Creed: Brotherhood from a pal tonight.

Sorry to everybody who said on the contrary, but I gave up on Bioshock...
I hope we can still be friends.

Ratchet & Clank...? Jack & Daxter is where its at!

Can't wait for the new Zelda game on Wii

Thom Yorke 12-12-2011 11:42 AM

I may have to get this game.

Holy ****. Was that real? cause that would be extremely hard to pull off.

Guybrush 12-12-2011 01:06 PM

Those who like badassery and sandboxy open world games should try Just Cause 2 :)

You can do some hilarious things in that game, like shoot a hold of planes with your zip-line gun thingie and steal them midflight .. or attach people to flying, rabid gas canisters.

The scary thing is that he pulled it off intentionally. He didn't just eject from his jet and decided to fire off a rocket, it was planned. People are so good at this game that I'm scared to play BF3 online anymore.

Jak & Dexter is pretty good as well, but i think R&C wins in terms of consistency

the last 2 J&D weren't that good

whereas R&C crapped up in that PSP port

Limbo Playlist

I know part of the appeal in the game was in the lack of music, however I do think I did a good job of picking tracks that fit into the atmosphere of the game quite well.

They practice that stuff quite a bit.
Definitely on the BF2 servers, for jets anyway, and they did the same on the BC2 servers with choppers. I'd probably put my money on a clan or group of friends messing around in a server where cooperation was premeditated and both guys were on Ventrillo, or Teamspeak or something, but on opposite teams so they set it up right.

I mean, it's possible that the guy happened to be recording while landing a perfectly timed move like that, but if the sole purpose was the video, it'd be a lot easier to rehearse and do it with someone who's in on it and on the other team, with communication.

Thom Yorke 12-12-2011 09:23 PM

He actually released a long version so you can see what he did before and after. He does it around 3:30 and tries it again around 5:25.

Ah, yea that's a bit more in context there.
So it looks like there's pretty much a guarantee that if you fly straight up and eject, you'll eventually land back near the c-pit of the aircraft every time, which makes the real challenge just doing it with good timing and an enemy jet reasonably close and behind your own jet.

I have all of like, 3 or 4 minutes in a jet on BF3, so I wouldn't know from experience. :D

Sparky 12-12-2011 11:58 PM

beat uncharted 3, besides a super awesome horse riding shoot out I was ultimately let down. I don't even remember how it ended really. There wasn't any boss fight or anything, or really any climax.

I give it a 7.25/10

Kirby 12-13-2011 12:41 AM

I'll be playing Battlefield 3 a lot, since I'll be getting some great maps back from Battlefield 2.

I've been playing...

Great game. Much better than I thought it would. Tons of content, even though it can be kind of repetitive.

Great time waster, tons of fun with friends. I played for about five hours straight without realizing it.

Mykonos 12-13-2011 06:51 AM

Guess who gave his old DS a try again?

Speaking of B2K, I just realized it came out today. So I'm downloading my update from Origin and will be off to make my stats even worse!

Do you want a 360 for the games, or for the 360? If the answer is 360, I'd wait until the next gen comes out. If it's the games, then I'd still wait so the price drops more.

The next gen is supposed to be awesome (rumor has it) but if you're like my childhood where I got my first Atari when the Nintendo came out, and my first Nintendo when the Sega came out, you know it's totally doable to be behind on things and enjoy the fruits of the labor for a fraction of the cost.

No problem with that. You get better deals. The only thing I've ever had a problem with while lagging behind the console market was wanting to play some of the new games while not being able to.
But, I can't really go too far with that, because the most recent console I even own is a PS2. heh.

I just don't do enough gaming anymore to warrant buying an XBOX or any of its children... unless games stop being made for PC. In which case, I will have had far too much PC for internet surfing and occasional video editing.

debaserr 12-13-2011 11:08 PM

Most of the older 360 GAMES available for pretty damn cheap. From amazon used they are usually between $5 and $15. The hardware is really expensive, you should try talking a friend into selling one to you.

oops apologies

games are available here for about four bucks each, pirated

That's a rip-off. DVDs cost just about nothing.
