Sims 3.
I love the Sims. One of the best game ever, imo of course.

No doubt, I love Big Surf Island, I just a diehard fan for the Burnout Series.

Did you get the special cars pack? Like the movie cars?

I haven't bought the packs, just what I like from the individual cars.

Terrible start, I remember when I first got it I did the start then didn't pick it up for ages.
Heroes of Might and Magic 4 again. Lost my original copy and couldn't find it anywhere (And didn't care enoguh to buy it online) but found it in a pack with Heroes 3 for 5 bucks and I could resist. Reminded me of why its one of my favourite computer games ever.
On PS2/3, Playing Fallout 3 again. One of those games I love when I am playing, but when I am not I don't know why I did love it. Also FFXII (Never really got into it, didn't like the levelling system)

All this because my computer guy wiped my computer and all the games installed :(

I've played the sims too, but now that my virtual self has reached the height of his career and fulfilled his lifetime wish, I don't really know what to do. The virtual GF is pregnant so .. just have a kid and do it all over again? Hm, I sense a lack of replay value.

Also, waiting for your sims to get home from work and so on is such a waste of time :p:

Piss Me Off 09-18-2009 04:03 AM

I saw a Fallout 1/2 bundle in Game for about a fiver and couldn't afford it (poor state of affairs, i know) but i'm certainly going to be on that at some point.

I'm going to finish up Fable 2 today methinks!

The Legendary Car's Pack is amazing, this is what's in the pack....

-The Jansen P12 88 Special, based on the DeLorean from the Back to the Future films, leaves flaming tire tracks along the ground while boosting and is also able to hover.
-The Hunter Manhattan Spirit is based on the Ecto-1 from the Ghostbusters films and features 2 sirens and lightbars on the roof.
-The Carson GT Nighthawk is based on KITT from the television series, Knight Rider and features the iconic swooping light bar both in the rear bumper and the grill and the rear spoiler popping out.
-Hunter Cavalry Bootlegger is loosely based on The General Lee from the tv series The Dukes of Hazzard and features the distinctive horn.

Finally managed to get this game working, had to turn down my maximum output on my RAM so the game would run. Pretty decent game so far, there are some clipping issues and some strange voice effects, however they're not really that annoying. There's some in game advertising but that's pretty much common in all video games so I don't really let it get to me. It's a fun action RPG based on one of the best RPG games to come out in the past 20 years, next to Warewolf: The Apocalypse.

My cousin found this in a box under his bed from who knows how long ago.

I get creeped out playing it. And it's ridiculously hard (for me) but way awesome.

I sat in on a game for the rpg book Vampire: The Requiem (updated version of Vampire: The Masquerade) and it was a really fun story to follow. I like how faithful this game is to the original book at least in terms of character sheets, the use of success' or fails to determine an action, and so on.

I haven't played this but I love games where what happens next depends on weither you succeed or fail at a mission or what mission you choose.

Like in Star Fox 64 and Fable. I wish more games would do something like that, where you can replay it time and time again and it not always be done in the same way.

anyone on this site playing D&D online now that it's free to play?

It's free? I may have to pick that back up...I'd cancelled my account a while back because no one else was playing. :\

Then you should really start doing some table top RPGing because that's the whole point of the game. Depending on your Game Master there can be some really hilarious outcomes. I remember in one of the Exalted sessions last year my friend's character who had absolutely no social points managed to hit another character's date for the evening, then release his special attack while drunk that made everyone else within a 60 foot radius hammered until they threw up... all because he had a few bad rolls.

Ha! You recognized my avvie. :D I was reading OOTS for a while, but I've dropped off recently. Funny, funny comic though.

I can't remember which server I was on when I was playing...it started with "Th....something". I'm definitely going to look into picking it back up now.

It's probably some of the most basic gaming i've ever played but i didn't put it down for quite along time!

Definitely. To me that's ideal. It's all about enjoyment factor for me, the more complicated a game gets the less interested I become.

Bucket Foot 09-26-2009 12:30 PM

NHL10 for sure.

Laces Out Dan! 09-26-2009 08:46 PM

Yeaaa, Ive been playing NHL10 nonstop....Im about 50 games into my first Season.

I've been playing Minesweeper lately... lame I know, but I have too much work to commit to a real game and this serves my procrastination needs just fine.

Vampire Savior: Darkstalkers 3

Best game in a very underrated series.

Sodacake 09-27-2009 09:44 AM

I started playing Star Wars: The Force Unleashed again recently. I got bored with my games and remembered I still hadn't beaten the game so I did. I think its a pretty good game, to be honest, though I still would much rather have a new Star Wars: Battlefront game than this.

boo boo 09-27-2009 10:38 AM

Well, one thing I'd love to do with the wiimote more than anything (and I'm not alone here) is to use it to control a lightsaber. That would be awesome.

But meh, The Force Unleashed looks cool, but I hear it dosen't make good use of the wiimote, and since it's a game where you can use a light saber WITH the wiimote, that should have been one of it's biggest selling points.

Hey LucasArts, just make Rogue Squadron 4 already.

I rented it a while back and really enjoyed it. It had very much of a Star Wars feel to it that I liked a lot and you do get to use the Wii remote to control a lightsaber so that's pretty cool.

Maybe you should get a real console...:pimp:

mr dave 09-27-2009 02:15 PM

isn't The Force Unleashed one of those games that you can beat in less time than an average shift at a full time job? 2 full shifts if you want to unlock 'everything'.

Sodacake 09-27-2009 03:10 PM

so what's your point?

Alfred 09-27-2009 03:34 PM

I beat inFamous as a good guy today, so I'm gonna get started on this beast later.

^fun game. The enemies get annoying though, once you think you have killed them all another wave comes.

The climbing is a blast though.
