I always enjoyed Playstation more than PC.

My dad had Rainbow Six on PC. It didn't look that enjoyable.

Slight Fallout 3 Spoiler Warning

Hm, the enclave armors are rather common once you get to the end of the game. Enclave forces are dropped with vertibirds here and there on the map, a bit like random encounters. Of course I set out to visit every area on the map on my second play-through and I met soldiers everywhere so with a repair skill of 100, my enclave armor was almost at 100% condition all the time. I did worry about repairs at the start, so I would bring extra armor sets back to my home in Megaton sometimes when I found them so I could go back there and repair, but it wasn't really necessary.

The tesla is no longer the best of the enclaves, though. With Broken Steel, there's now the slightly better Hellfire Armor :D (also common in the endgame).

I can't wait til all the DLC's come out for ps3...I have been waiting so long...

*Spoiler*

I did some glitch in the game and got all the followers. I can get them back at any time, so my army is (everything fully repaired):

Clover - BoS Power Armor/Super Sledge
Star Paladin Cross - BoS Power Armor/A3-21 Plasma Rifle
Charon - T51-B Power Armor/His Shotgun/Grenades
Butch - Medical Power Armor/Fisto
Jericho - BoS Power Armor/Reservist's Rifle

I have: Colonel's Autumns Uniform, and Lincoln's Repeater/Mesmetron when I get bored. It's stupidly easy but also fun.

and at any time I could pick up Fawkes or the robot but having a Power Armor army is awesome.

*Huge Spoiler* (how to get more followers)

Just be sure to get RL-3 again and repeat that step every time you want a follower.

I find the easiest way to get 14 followers is this:

1) become evil (Make sure you finish operation anchorage, the pitt and the raven rock quest and leave before falkes talks to you) and hire Jericho.

2) go to Eulogy at paradise falls, fire Jericho, hire Clover then quickly rehire Jericho before Clover gets a chance to talk to you. Then when he is rehired talk to Clover.

3) go to get dogmeat and kill him.

4) go and get charon and since you opened up a slot by killing dogmeat, he will join you.

5) become neutral (Finish "Trouble on the homefront") go to Tinker Joe but fire Charon, hire RL-3, rehire Charon before RL-3 talks to you and then when that is done talk to RL-3.

6) Fire RL-3 and hire Butch

7) go to get good karma, then talk to Star paladin cross, and make sure you pick the second dialogue option when it says either "I want you to come with me" or "I don't suppose i could stop you" Choose the latter

8) Now go to Raven Rock and Falkes should be killing troops there. Talk to him and he will join you.

9) Become neutral again, fire Butch and hire RL-3 then tell RL-3 to wait and choose the second dialogue option then fire him from there.

10) Hire Butch agin then wait 7-8 days in game time and it should say "RL-3 has returned to canterbury commons) Go there and he should hire you

11) Do the "big trouble in big town quest" but instead of taking the two villagers back to Big town keep them with you, that is nine. Then go and get sticky which is ten

12) go to Sydney but be sure to reverse-pickpocket her and give her power armor and heavy weapons.

13) now go to Dukov's place and convince Cherry to come with you (Dont go to Rivet city) and make sure you reverse-pickpocket her power armor before you set off.

14) Now go to enslave Bumble the child and she will follow you. But don't take her to the slaver outside Lil lamplight

15) now after broken steel has been released you can recruit dogmeat again as a pouppy so i am looking forward to that.

You can also get the 3 brotherhood of steel paladins to follow you in falls church.

But from doing that exploit here is my "army": Jericho and Charon stay back with snipers and snipe anthing within 20 yards of me. Clover and Butch mow them down with her flamer and his minigun (Burnmaster and eugene) Star paladin cross uses a missile launcher which she is very effective with on my game. Fawkes mows them down with Vengeance and takes out the Behemoths RL-3 is my storage unit and i give him all my weapons i don't need. Red, Shorty and Sticky are all using grenades (Red: Frag, Sticky: plasma and Shorty: Pulse) Sydney and Cherry use shotguns and when they find mini nukes around, use fat mans, or they just alert me by switching to their fat mans so i can see they have picked up ammo i can take. Bumble is my distraction (I send her in and draw all the enemy fire to her while the rest of the squad take em out and seeing as she never dies, she is fullproof.

Hope this helped

Cherry only follows you for 5 days, and I can't seem to reverse pick pocket Sydney after she starts following me, I always get the dialogue option whether she is waiting or following, so you must have to give her the armor first.
This is awesome but can you please explain numbers 9 and 10, it seems kind of confusing. And the wikia on Butch says he can still be recruited even if you already have followers.

Playing Shadow Complex on 360 for a second time. Awesome Super Metroid like game, I recommend it to any 360 owners.

And yes, control preferences are going to vary, but I think that in terms of manipulating the actual experiance of shooting stuff with guns, the Wii is number one. My favorite way to control an FPS. Too bad good FPS's on the Wii are rare.

Akira 08-26-2009 03:56 PM

^^..and the point of that link? lol

Mouse and keyboard is still the best and most adaptable controls for FPS's

Wow, didn't know that was even possible .. That's cool :D Isn't it a bit of a pain in the arse sometimes as well, though? I mean, followers have a tendency of blocking doorways and corridors!

On my last playthrough, I picked up Fawkes and Dogmeat really late in the game (lvl 27+) and they were effectively immortal. They had so much HP, they could both take several direct hits with small nukes!

You were talking about FPS's. The image I posted is a screenshot of one (Metroid Prime 3). You said "I was talking about FPS's". I linked you there so you could find out that Metroid Prime 3 is an FPS.

Akira 08-26-2009 04:02 PM

Yes, but I'm saying that mouse and keyboard is the best controls currently for a FPS

Alfred 08-26-2009 04:03 PM

And I'm saying that Wii remote + nunchuk is the best controls for FPS's.

Akira 08-26-2009 04:06 PM

But it's not though at the moment. You can do far more things with the mouse/keyboard set-up. It's not just about the aiming, you have to consider movement etc. A skilled PC player would run circles around someone using a wiimote if the games were compatible and thats purely because of ease of movement whilst aiming etc.

Guybrush 08-26-2009 04:11 PM

Actually, I did specify that when it comes to games where you benefit from precision, I've yet to experience anything better than keyboard + mouse, precision being the keyword. I don't think the wiimote and the nunchuck will be better precision-wise, but I guess it might be fun. I've played Wii games, but no FPSes yet.

Akira 08-26-2009 04:12 PM

Even if you had a gun controller that was accurate to 1 pixel, it still wouldn't be the best controller as the movement wouldnt be as good.

It gets pretty annoying, and I have to start focusing on stimpaks/ammo/dropped weapons and whatnot, but it is still awesome to take my 5 man BoS squad and surprise attack an Enclave base. Fawkes makes everything stupidly easy as well. I imagine having 8 followers can get on your nerves eventually.

But after having to defend against mole rats with a baseball bat for survival in the early game, it is very very very satisfying to just be lord of the wasteland. :D

I also did a mercenary group for awhile, when it was Jericho, Charon, Clover, Butch, and I all in Leather Armor with 'small guns'.

Plus, nothing tops having all eight followers, then going into the Citadel (without saving) and punching one BoS soldier, thus starting a full blown war/genocide of the Citadel, of followers vs. BoS soldiers.

Piss Me Off 08-26-2009 05:47 PM

If in doubt, save and rampage Rivet City and Megaton. Beeeyootiful.

Double X 08-26-2009 07:26 PM

I know dude, I have accumulated 18 mini nukes, I never use them, only when I am bored and have already saved. Shooting the Experimental MIRV into megaton is just - wow.

The funniest thing about followers is that when you accidently shoot someone in a town, everyone turns hostile to you and your follower(s) just go bezerk.

I also attended the wedding in Rivet City with Charon, and we reenacted Kill Bill as soon as they were about to say 'I do'.

You may have a point here, but the Wii's movement is damn close.

There's a small quest there about this girl who is in love with this guy, but he's not interested .. so you can go out and find some queen ant pheromones or something which basically serve as a love potion which you then use on him. I think there's 3 queens in the game, so you can do this in a few ways. If you do it, they marry!

Double X 08-27-2009 08:11 AM

Yeah it's the waitress and the young priest. You can buy the stuff from the black lady's drug store.

djchameleon 08-27-2009 09:07 PM

I'm a slave to the EA Need for speed games and play almost everyone they put out. I don't like their simulation style Need for speeds so I skip those but I'm playing NFS Undercover.

I have no idea what they were thinking. The story is really good but why have open world area to drive around but you can't drive to events or a garage? What's the point!?

Sparky 08-28-2009 09:46 AM

batman:AA

super tight so far. The scarecrow scene in particular was crazy.

Zen 08-30-2009 02:42 AM

COD4......as always until MW2.

Although I did revisit an old school classic from the Arcade, Monkey Island baby!

Fruitonica 09-02-2009 06:49 AM

I finally debugged my copy of XCOM: UFO Defense, so I've been playing that to death. It's seriously the best turn based combat I've ever played, or at least on par with Advance Wars, but with much more depth. But I've lost motivation to play because I ran out of Elerium and had to sell all my advanced ships and now my bases are getting mauled. It's all too much.

http://images2.makefive.com/images/2...e38059d353.jpg

So I just downloaded this, and I'm a little bit out of my depth. I think I'm going to restart because I wasted so much time trawling through the wasteland back and fourth I'm not going to find the water chip. Someone give me some advice on character creation, I haven't got the hang of some skills yet.

Guybrush 09-02-2009 06:57 AM

There's a couple of water chips and yeah, you should get them before everyone dies. Note that the game does continue past you getting the chip, so you don't have to worry. Do it and explore more later.

As for the skills, all I remember is agility and intelligence is nice, adds to action points and skills when you level respectively. Luck adds to everything you try, I think, so that's good. Perception makes it easier to hit stuff .. Charisma and strength are the least useful I think if you are playing a character which uses guns. A certain piece of armor will up your strength to 10 late in the game and I always got on fine even if I didn't have a massive charisma.

And go for small guns!

Fruitonica 09-02-2009 07:41 AM

Cheers.

Guybrush 09-02-2009 07:47 AM

Ehr, regarding the couple of water chips .. the game is not completely linear. There's more than one way of retrieving one, but of course you only need one and not two. :)

I bought Sands of Time myself a couple weeks ago. What a great game! Beyond Good & Evil is on my list of games to get but I haven't come across it used in my travels yet.
