Fable 1 was a truly amazing game. Its just to bad it was so short, since 2 and 3 were both disappointing.

I wouldn't say they were entirely disappointing, they were still pretty decent games. Fable seemed to be an accelerated caricature of the typical heroes and quests medieval fantasy, the sequels just seemed to have moved away from that appeal by removing bragging rights (the aspect I loved the most in fable) and expanding on the fact that the hero owns a house by giving them the ability to bone every fair maiden in the virtual village and settling down with one or more. And of course becoming the local landlord which they just expanded to you trying to control a ****ing empire while you're just trying to enjoy the damned game.

This.

So what's the verdict on StreetFighter x Tekken, if there hasn't already been one?

i don't think there's a Streetfighter x Tekken

there's a Marvel vs Capcom 3

and a DC Universe x Mortal Kombat

edit:- i have a Namco x Capcom but it's an RPG, not a beat-'em up

Unless I've royally screwed up, they just released one last month.

I hope I haven't Tyler Durden-ed my way into imagining this...

Great games, especially 1 and 3, but my god was 3 a frustrating game. I think it made my cry a couple of times.

I've beaten them all on their hardest difficulties, so believe me, I know.
Still absolutely adore the series, and I'm pretty excited for the reboot.
DMC2 is my least favorite, though. The environments aren't as interesting, and some of the enemies (Infected Tanks and Infected Helicopters?) seem pretty uninspired. Still a lot of fun to play, though.
