It wasn't so much stressful as it was a little annoying knowing how to do the mission but continuing to die over and over. You should play the games though, I guarantee you will love them.

the only shooter game i played on my ps3 is uncharted 2 and a tiny bit of mw3 so i only have a tiny bit of experience will this game be tough for someone completely new to this type of game?

It's a bit different than a usual shooter but it takes like...10 minutes tops to get used to the controls.

are the controls are like resident evil? and isn't there a part of the where you're supposed to fix the ship or something? (hacking) is it hard? is it like a puzzle or something?

The Dead Space games are good and enjoyable and very easy to get into BUT I wouldn't say they were essential though like Resident Evil games.

i'm not really into shooter games but this game stood out so much and looks like it really brings something different to the table..it reminds me a little of bioshock/resident evil though..is it really that scary?

Likewise. Playing it through the night is the scariest experience. I heard Amnesia: The Dark Descent is supposed to be pretty scary too, but I haven't played that yet.

ok you guys i have it now and i'm playing it ..**** i almost ****ted on myself it's so ****in scary!! the way it's quiet then you the roar of those monsters before they attack you ****!

Dead Space 2 is better than Dead Space 1, but you have to beat Dead Space 1 for it to make any sense. Hell yeah, it's scary as hell. I can't wait until the release of Dead Space 3, I have a feeling there will be co-op.
