Worst Movies of All Time

Since there was some discussion about worst movies in the Latest Film Seen thread, here is a thread for you to post the worst films you have seen in your lifetime, so that others may know to avoid them/watch them for the lulz. I've got one to start out with

Sleepover (2004)
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi.../Sleepover.jpg

"In the summer before their freshman year in high school, Julie has a sleepover in order to celebrate their rising to freshman year and to spend one last night with Hannah, her best friend who's moving to Vancouver. In an attempt to cast off their "less-than-cool" reputations once and for all, Julie and her friends enter into an all-night scavenger hunt against their popular girl rivals. Stealing dad's car, sneaking into a club, evading Julie's mother, and even a first kiss, anything is possible at Julie's sleepover."

I had to watch this movie because my little sister dared me to, and boy was it AWFUL. Besides not being funny at all, it sends the completely wrong message to women. In the end, the protagonist going into 9th grade makes out with the love interest going into the 12th grade, the obligatory fat girl has to resort to hooking up with a similarly fat guy, and the girls are not punished for sneaking out in the middle of the night. It features Steve Carell, and this is surely the worst work in his career.

The ball is in your court!

Cool idea for a thread! I have plenty of nominations ready!

and all it's high-grossing sequels. Also any similarly-themed 'urban' dance movies where a blonde girl fall for a young whippersnapper of a low-income background. I don't care about all the other stuff, this is why I think the United States should be systematically dismantled and ejected into space. Even the millions of people that had nothing to do with the production or success of films like this. I'm sorry, it's just that bad

DESTROY

Arguably THE worst movie ever, but you cant completely hate it, I mean it gave us one of the greatest characters ever, TORGO!

Hammerhead: Shark Frenzy
When he began fusing human and shark DNA, his colleagues laughed at him. Now his creation is taking his revenge, and they aren't laughing anymore.

Seriously? Come on Hollywood, I put more effort into my Grade 4 Science projects.

I know this topic all too well, I actually watch bad movies intentionally, so I can know which to add to my list.

Yeah that's right, I have a list that I made a few years ago.

100 Worst Movies

So tell me what you think.

This one is capable of single-handedly destroying all respect for women and sending us hurtling back into the middle ages intellectually. ANNIHILATE

i love David Bowie to death but there was no excuse for this:

http://www.mark-murray.org/wp-conten...c10120884.jpeg

think Wizard of Oz meets Cats meets a bum on the street who offered to write the screenplay. ugh.

boo boo 04-12-2009 06:07 PM

Like all of your other opinions on things, you're dead wrong, that movie is f*cking awesome.

And that bum on the street was Terry Jones, so yeah, you're soooooooo wrong about this one.

Flesh & Blood
Yeah, it's a Paul Verhoeven movie, but you know what? It's still garbage. The premise could potentially have lead to it being a good movie but it didn't. The whole concept of the woman being raped repeatedly until she falls in love with her rapist is obviously fairly offensive, but beyond that the movie is just a poorly written, poorly acted piece of crap. I'm not a dick though, so I won't suggest that the Netherlands should be destroyed because of it. Maybe just Amsterdam. :D

Good god, what's wrong with you man? Labyrinth is a classic.

Seltzer 04-12-2009 06:09 PM

I've heard that the Troll movies are so bad that they're funny - I must see them.

And Dracula 3000 is a right turd of a movie.

YOU sir, are in error.

Although I f*cking hate Jennifer Connelly ever since some chat show she was on, seemed like a cow. Oh and the double-ended dildo montage in Requiem For A Dream actually had me in stitches, such a stupid cartoon of a film

As a big mst3k fan Ive seen a ton of awful movies but this is one of the few that I can only scratch my head and say 'wtf'. The plot is everywhere you think that Cuba would have something to with this film hence the title, but only maybe a quarter of the film. Horrible editing and even in one point in the film an America soldier is executed and then they bring back the exact same actor in the next scene as a Cuban guard.

Being wrong about everything is his profession. Which is ok, but then he has to be abrasive about it.

"You suck because you're not as wrong about stuff as I am"

Blah blah blah.

I loved Requiem. And Connelly a cow? Either you're a bitter woman or you're the pickiest guy ever.

Molecules 04-12-2009 06:12 PM

three words: David Bowie's bulge

and the songs are f*cking brilliant. Mostly. Kind of.

khfreek 04-12-2009 06:12 PM

Booboo, I wouldn't put Freddy Got Fingered in the top 100. It has a very weird sort of humor, but I kind of like it :)

lucifer_sam 04-12-2009 06:13 PM

that movie was terrible.

Ok, here are some Dracula 3000 clips for those who aren't convinced.

talking about bad films is THRICE as fun as watching the bastards. I can't take it if I'm with other people, I get so embarrassed for humanity I have to leave rooms

CATWOMAN - I looked this up out of curiosity the other day and it really looks like the legends were true

You're the crazy one if THAT was the first movie that came to mind.

You have obviously never seen a bad movie in your life.

Well take it from a pro when it comes to bad movies.

Labyrinth is awesome, the songs are awesome, the art style is awesome, and the effects are still amazing even by todays standards, I watched a special about how they made the film and how they made all the creatures and it was amazing, even critters who only appeared in the background had a lot of detail put in them.

You should be able to distinguish the difference between a film that's obviously not geared towards your kind of audience and a bad film. It's a fantasy film for kids, it's like Lewis Carrol meets Monty Python meets the Muppets (which are all awesome, so combine them and what do you get? An awesome movie), honestly there's nothing that makes Wizard of Oz a great movie and yet this a bad movie, it's the same exact kind of movie.

But anyway, I'll play your sick little game and mention a movie a lot of people (but in this case only pretentious film snobs) actually like.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...Jc_shadows.jpg

What a piece of sh*t, this managed to be stupid, boring, offensive, horribly made and incoherent all at once. Apparrently an indie classic because... I dunno, there's a guy with sunglasses?

If you're gonna mention ANY Verhoeven movie on this thread, why not the obvious?

Why not just mention the entire Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer filmography?

But I think they have met they're match in the Wayans bros.

WOW is all I can say.

The Scary Movie series gets a pass just because I like Anna Faris.

say anything with john/joan cusack (can't tell the difference, they've both got balls & man voices).

Yeah it is the same guy - it's probably lucky for him that his career didn't die after Dracula 3000.

After being reduced to a lecherous vampire in Dracula 3000 and the stage-diving incident a couple of months ago, someone really does need to put Coolio out of his misery. :D

I've managed to avoid ever seeing Showgirls.

boo boo 04-12-2009 07:17 PM

Speaking of Casper Van Dien have any of you seen this?

http://www.celluloidfilmreview.com/i...Omega-Code.jpg

Your typical sh*tty christian appocalypse thriller, like the kind you see on TBN every now and then, but amazingly this one actually got released in theaters. I own it on video, it's so freaking awful.

No, but I like the fact that it's "not just a movie... it's a MIRACLE!"

I wouldn't say it was horrible. I'd say it was cheesy and extremely disappointing considering how many people sweat it so hard. It's hardly worthy of the classic title. When I got to the end I thought, "That was pretty ok". I rather watch The Princess Bride.

boo boo 04-12-2009 07:32 PM

Bah humbug. Labyrinth is way better than The Princess Bride, that was one I wasn't terribly smitten over, unlike a lot of people for some reason.

It's somewhat cheesy yes but that's part of the appeal.

Think what you will of Tom Green, but I've always maintained that Freddy Got Fingered is a misunderstood film (3.7 rating on IMDB and slammed by critics).

It's not the type of comedy I tend to watch and I'm not sure why I like it, but I just do. Scenes like this are weird and idiotic but oddly hilarious at the same time.
