That is what one of the scholars speculates above. That's its conceivable that after thousands of years of surviving in a particular environment would lead to different adaptations in the brain structure, which could interpret general intelligence.

I of course however am looking for hard empirical data. I suppose no one has come up with an exact correlation between intelligence and IQ, or it's hereditary percentage, but if anyone has knowledge on individual studies that would be relevant to this discussion that cite correlations, please contribute.

00-.19 “very weak”
 .20-.39 “weak”
 .40-.59 “moderate”
 .60-.79 “strong”
 .80-1.0 “very strong”

And regardless, after enough time spent living in a modern, global civilization that's fundamentally the same throughout most of the world then I imagine any IQ differences would even out in time, and having a world population that doesn't have to be accounted for differently is probably preferable to creating a worldwide system of genetic segregation.

I can't disagree with that but I'd rather have the data I've been reading refuted, where is captain Flynn when you need him.

Ah I good be a dick and play devil's advocate by being a contrarian, but honestly I know so little about the topic of innate intelligence, and my current reading have me well....very depressed.

I'm already thinking weird inhumane thoughts like maybe we should accelerate immigration from Asian countries, but limit them from elsewhere. Arrg! I guess I owe Mr. Molyneux a compliment for bringing a whole new topic to the forefront of my media world. I've got a lot of reading to do.

Move to the west coast, there are lots here, particularly in Vancouver and San Francisco. Take in mind when they are calculating the average IQ of people living within a country it is just a sample of the mean. A child in the UK with parents with heritage from India just scored off the charts at 162. Higher than Stephen Hawkings!

The average IQ in India is 82, and as a developing nation with lots of poverty you can only imagine that a lot of this has to do with environmental factors.
