right, but the only reason they're popular in the first place is because the show is basically a giant field test to gauge the popularity of new 'talent' on a mainstream scale without actually having to take on a risk of investing in unproven talent.

you are able to see how these shows are just a way of leading the public by the nose right? who gets the votes is completely irrelevant, the fact that people vote is all that matters.

I agree that was a little much. But did you see the other performances of the night? Not entirely appropriate either. The performance did have a very disturbing S&M vibe. But a lot of people were not complaining about that. A lot of people were complaining about him kissing a guy. 'Lesbian stuff' has become accepted, yet for some reason man-on-man stuff just isn't okay. Had the performance not had all the chains and bondage stuff, and had he still kissed that guy. You know damn well people still would have thrown hissy fits.

Kurt Cobain kissed Krist on (I think) SNL and nobody seemed to make a big deal about that. Go figure.

I totally agree with you 100% American Idol is as bad as it gets, a perfect representation of mainstream media bull****. I might have insinuated that I like American idol, but I have only watched bits of the most recent season, and all the clips were pertaining to Lamburt, because I really think he has a beautiful voice.

That single is pretty bad. He needs to hire better songwriters. However, I wish him the best of luck, we need more mainstream (openly) gay artists.

i agree with you here. even the australian idol winners aren't too sassy

for a change, check out "lisa mitchell" and her album "wonder", i will upload it to mediafire once i get the chance, but she came SIXTH in the 2006 australian idol season, signed on a london indie label and has made some pretty decent music... which is more than what any other contestant over here has done, really.

He could have done better than that, he actually has a decent voice. No need to ruin in with this rubbishy song.

I'm pretty sure this guy made out with his keyboard player during a performance of this song at the AMA's...
