Hell last time I went to Ozzfest with my 2 black friends they were playing find a black guy game because they seemed like the only 2 out of 10000 people. No one is saying none exist but come on dude metal is predominantly white males.
I doubt you'd see many punks at an Ozzfest either.

Anyways you made your point. You think that rap sucks, that a lot of African American culture is garbage, and that a small minority of black punk rockers somehow represented of black youth on a whole.

Lol ok because a true punk fan has to look a certain way...You dont think the metal and punk crowd overlap in 2013??
???

?

?
???

I bet I know more about punk music than most of the dirty jeans wearing ripped tshirt anti government "punks" hanging out at the greasy "punk" club in whatever crappy town you are in. I am clean, have a job, dont entirely hate society, and think anarchy is a terrible idea. Guess I dont like punk.

I never said 2013, did I? I said there were a lot of blacks involved in the punk scene when I was involved in it. Since I don't believe there is any real punk anymore, it wouldn't make much sense for me to be hanging out at punk shows in 2013, would it? My last punk show was about 20 years ago--give or take a year.

That was a silly thing to say but to each their own.

So basically what you are saying is that since you have not been involved in the punk scene in 20 years that your opinion (this thread about punk being dead) means absolutely nothing....

brb punk is dead
brb havnt gone to punk show in 20 years

Why...you basically were pidgeonholing punk fans into people who act and dress a certain way. You dont think a 35 year old white wall street banker can be a huge reggae fan? Or hick living on a farm can be a massive hip hop fan? Broaden your horizons.

[sigh] Yeah, Rez, I haven't been to a punk show for 20 years BECAUSE I don't believe that punk today is alive the way it was when I was involved in it.

What difference does it make how they dress? Punk had its heyday and we need something new. That's all I've been saying.

Eh, I was offended originally but at this point the thread has gone so far off topic and LL has been proven wrong on so many occasions that I just can't take the guy seriously anymore. Seriously, how can someone call grunge ****ty and not know who Thurston Moore is?
