I presume this means you also look down upon Post-Punk and an Alternative Rock by extension?

It could be possible that people think what was played in the early days of Punk as the same as hardcore punk and Nazi punk a decade later but it's not. Punk wasn't a interruption but a continuation of Garage Rock, and Glam Rock before it. Early Punk was also a back to basics it wasn't too, not different from the early Rock n Roll, Rockabilly and Surf. Some of the songs considered "proto" Punk before the Sax Pistols' debut album like The Dictators - California Sun (Surf), and Blue Cheer Summertime Blues (Rockabilly) proves both the continuity and evolution of Rock music into Punk Rock.

I've always said punk rock was just an evolution of the same old rock of the 50s and 60s, just cranked up a few notches. That's what makes it so great, is it's simplicity.

I really don't find Dead Kennedys all that simple, speaking for myself.
