I'll be seeing Teenage Bottlerocket later this month. A 20 year old band that's still putting out material and I look forward to the weeknight show.

The stable of early Stiff Records artists were considered 'punk'. Do you think these artists are still classified as punk?

Nick Lowe
The Damned
Wreckless Eric
Elvis Costello
Ian Dury

Personally, I think the punk umbrella was as big then as it is now. If it wasn't pop, prog, arena or blues...it was punk.

Brand spanking new song...or is it a brand new spanking song? Regardless, good song and the album comes out in October.

Watch at your own risk, partial nudity. (smiling)

For me, many of the best punk groups are punk adjacent like the Fall and Banshees or "fake punk" (take the Stranglers: the drummer was older than Paul McCartney, the singer a PhD dropout, the keyboard player a prog wanker).
