That's how I feel about him. I have heard alot of 'A Milli' remixes, with other, what I'd say are even better rappers, on the same beat... but no one has been as good as Lil Wayne's original

this has to be one of my favorites from him.

Out of only about 10 rap songs...period!...that one is one of my favorites. I heard it about two years ago, and I just thought it was so different from all the other ****. One thing I do respect about Lil Wayne is his lyrics, so unique and so creative, whatever he's drinking in his white cup, I want some. I think Wayne is a lot better than most of the **** today.

Where's the option for 'hard'?

I think he's a pretty great rapper, who can definately write a good catchy song. The only problems that I have with him are that he doesn't experiment too muc from what I've heard and his voice gets a little annoying sometimes(although, most times I like it).

Lyrically he seems very average. His voice bothers me, but, putting that aside, I just haven't heard anything from him that does anything for me. Seems very quantity over quality. Saturate the market with albums, mixtapes, collaborations, and guest appearances... None of which are above average in my opinion.

He's average at best.
I feel he gets a lot more credit than he deserves.

He has a nice track every now and then, but other than that, I don't pay much attention.

I find Lil Wayne to be average in comparison to all of the other rap I've heard, but I don't think he's bad at all. He's clever when he needs to be, entertaining, and has a distinct voice. In addition to that, he's extremely prolific. He has so many mixtapes and albums, that it would be difficult to really listen to all of it - although I'm a fan of his mixtapes moreso than his album material.

He's probably a bit overrated, but he's not untalented, and he's definitely got some legitimate chops.

Until recently I hated Wayne. I decided to check out a couple songs though because I heard one track he done, and the name escapes me right now, that I thought was pretty good. So I went and checked out some of his works.

I was pleasantly surprised at times by him. Other times I was just lost. I think overall, he's an average rapper taking everything into consideration. He's got good tracks, bad tracks, and awful tracks. Overall, just an average rapper. He's really hyped though and he's the big name right now. One day he'll fall off the top and someone else will take his place and a thread will be started just like this one about them, and then so on and so on. That's just the way music works.
