well its hard to say because i cant decide which is worse

the bands that just sound bad
or the bands that are good but wrote a couple really bad songs.

like the dashboard by modest mouse i love it but its sooo overplayed

Funny. I've read/heard this comment plenty of times. Yet, when I finally did listen to Stadium Arcadium all the way through this was the ONLY track that actually sounded legitimately funky. It was cheeky, dirty, raunchy, and by far the MOST old-school sounding thing they've recorded since like 1991.

I can understand why a lot of newer fans wouldn't dig it, but for anyone who remembers the Chili Peppers before they got their 2nd big commercial break and turned into radio darlings it's a nice slice of old school Peppers.

the ironic thing about the two i chose is that i hated them from the start. its not that they were overplayed....i just cant stand them.

i mean...you listen to Freebird and...its really not very good. the solo is fairly boring and repetetive....a lot of it is just them using a bunch of riffs over and over again as they slowly get faster

granted...as a guitarist i'm not all that much better...but when i listen to the Allman Brothers i love how they take a riff and slowly make it mutate into something else

stairway to heaven i just cant even get through. it bores me to DEATH
