Dude, Bloom?! That song is most likely the best from KOL honestly, it has so many layers and stuff. Why do you hate it? And about the second part; True dat, Ringo just can't write songs.

Yellow Submarine was a Lennon/McCartney song

Ringo only wrote Don't Pass Me By and Octopus' Garden

and you're judging him by only 2 songs?

Led Zeppelin, you could go with Hot Dog or All My Love.

Smoke On The Water by Deep Purple. That song is ****ing awful, I don't care how iconic that ripped off guitar riff is, that song is poorly written, and the music is cheap and unoriginal.

Yellow Submarine by The Beatles. Pure ****, no other way to put it, and I love the Beatles, but Yellow Submarine is junk and I try real hard to avoid listening to it.

Johnny B. Goode by Judas Priest. I know this is a cover, but they covered it in the worst, most lazy way imaginable. It's basically just a crappier metal version of the original with Rob's vocals, the guitar intro doesn't sound cool at all, which is what makes the song so iconic.

KOL is probably their weakest post "Bends" effort, and Ringo hasn't really written much. I think the only Beatles song I ever hated was Yellow Submarine, and he didn't even write that one.

You don't like Machine Head?

It's a good album, but that riff is ripped off, not that it's a great riff anyways, and the lyrics are awful. I am a huge Deep Purple fan, but Smoke On the Water sucks.

The lyrics weren't great BUT they did sum up the problems that the band had whilst recording the album, hence the name smoke on water. Most bands were ripping riffs off one another at that time, so don't hold that against them.

It's not a good riff to begin with, and I'm not one of those people who hates the simple guitar riffs. I love Iron Man, but that riff is actually cool, Smoke on the Water's riff is pretty boring, the keyboards are subpar for a Deep Purple record, there was really nothing in the song, and I can't stress how much I hate the lyrics.

really? i love the lyrics but it's too much goin on in the song and it seems so out of beat :/ that was the hardest song for me to get into on that album..
too many layers....
yellow submarine sounds like a kindergarten song and octopus garden sounds like a pre-school song..
