Any help would be appreciated.

They remind me off Finntroll.
Not directly but just the softer use of folk through the song ... or am I going deaf?

Has anybody heard Intronaut's newest album, "Valley of Smoke"?

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

The Bullet-
Sixx AM is very powerful music, i agree. The Heroin Diaries is also an awesome book!! Nikki has really gone through a lot in his life and has some pretty wild stories, but he also came out of it alive and still has a rockin attitude. From what I understand, he wrote most of the Motley's hits. Obviously he still has it.

Please take your time, listen and enjoy.

If this is too much to post, please let me know!!

That's generally a bit more than people post, yeah, but I don't think you'll get in trouble. Also, who are you recommending this to? In this thread, people usually don't just post bands to recommend to the world (unless they're asking for similar music). That's what the rest of the site is for. This post would be better suited to a thread about Eluveitie... which I'm not sure exists... but this would make a good first post on such a thread.

Not bad, though. Sometimes they sounded a tad generic, but most of the time that was good ****. Have to say, though. The three videos that I quoted, out of this six, were by far my favorites.

It feels like I go on a journey every time I listen to the album, and I don't always feel prepared for the journey. That's the best way I can describe it. I listen to it when I feel prepared, and it's one of the greatest albums I have. I listen to it when I don't feel prepared, and it's just too overwhelming.

And no, I havn't read the book yet, but I want to.

... just how is folk metal generic?
I am yet to hear a folk metal band that sounds similar or the same as another. Unless you are referring to just the overall metal sound, then yes, their latest album had some quite generic metal pieces in it.

Not sure if I'm posting on the right thread. My favourite rock bands are Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Biffy Clyro, The Script, Kings Of Leon, Green Day, Casabian, Arcade Fire, Paramore, Muse...
