[QUOTE=JiggleMonster;1826694]The first band reminds me of Code Orange. some guitar parts and the vocalist.
I love Code Orange :D Forever is like Meshuggah, Gojira, Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan and Nine Inch Nails all rolled into one, with the best production on a hardcore record to date... that's what I think anyway! |
Best Grindcore or whatever this is I've discovered in ages.

Does Behemoth not suck?

"Christians to the Lions" is a pretty happening track if I remember correctly, but in general it just sounds like competently executed death metal 101. I suspect they got so popular because they sound like savage real death metal, but don't actually have any bite.

Underground Music
What are some new up and coming bands in the Los Angeles underground rock scene?

I imagine you never listened to Sorcery by Kataklysm
|
How savage? I'm listening to Spreading the Disease and can not divert my attention.
|
I dunno, it's a weird album. I think it oughtta be melodic brutal deathgrind or something cool like that.

There's a good chance the other one is lame
I barely even know what makes something brutal death metal but there's this band Garbage Disposal that is apparently that. They had members go on to form Lykathea Aflame and I like talking about them so people will know how obscure and extensive my infinite music taste is I can't say I remember them really being anything special |

Since Mondo mentioned Lykathea Aflame: A bit more grind than pure Brutal Death but great work-out song/record: Pure ****ing death: Moar classic: And finally, one of the few records I do listen to with some consistency: |

Does anybody remember Crazy Town? I love their "Butterfly" and decided to give a listen to their debut album - sound pretty awkward in 2017.
|
For the first half of that post I thought Crazy Town had reduced themselves to spamming internet forums. Phew.

I just tried the opener to Malina out. Do they have anything with good vocals or do they only do the weak indie ****?
Kinda skipping through some of their other tracks and it appears that the answer is no. They're solid musically but I'm really not into this dude's singing and that's one of the easiest ways to turn me off of a record. |

Do i want to know what you two are talking about?

And any praise I just gave Saliva is probably down to nostalgia cause listening again I really can't justify not hating this. |

There really is no diversity in nu metal is there? Just a bunch of bands copying each other.

That is surprisingly better.
|
It's kind of not tbh. Not to defend Saliva but I just care about as little.

Also, what? |

This is the only tune from Saliva I can stomach, and just barely. Being on the Dracula 2000 soundtrack doesn't help either.
For my money, if I'm gonna listen to some nu metal, it's gonna be some Snot. |
I like this finnish nu metal band called Velcra
|
Been listening to a lot of Vintage Trouble over the last week. Pretty damn good.

My grindcore folder is depressingly underdeveloped. Help me with that. Old, new, traditional, weirdo, just ****ing give it to me.
