Yep the Deep Purple live is on the same level as the Cheap Trick one.

surely Pantera are up there - probably Vulgar display of power or far beyond driven. Reinventing the steel does it for me tho

Doubt that most people hate them, Pantera usually gets respect wherever. One of the best metal bands ever without a doubt. Their first 3, starting with Cowboys, (**** the glam metal crap) were fantastic.

I wish Dime would have spent less time noodling and more time actually working on his tone, cause his tone was usually dreadful.

Like "Walk".... god awful tone.
