? Kreator's discography is really strange. They start out playing extremely raw thrash, switch to playing proto-death metal, switch back to regular thrash, then switch to playing a more accessible form of thrash, then switch to playing like, WAAAY LESS intense thrash by way of trad. metal. Weird.

The best I've ever gotten with Obscura is enjoying a few songs in a 6/10 kinda way (but with 8/10 riffs) before the album just becomes in one ear and out the other. Tonight it's sounding much better, so I'm hoping this album is going to be the next None So Vile for me given time. Gonna give it some attention in the immediate future.

I will never tire of this album, and this release, which is one of the best remasters ever made.

They went the Gothic Metal route for a while, then back to their Thrash roots.

I like to think of it like a Death Metal "Trout Mask Replica".
