I like Rush and they are solid. The biggest reason I probably like them is because they influenced Dream Theater in so many ways.
|
Yeah, the new song sounds really good.
|
I like pretty much all their stuff but typically lean more to the stuff with heavy use of keyboards.

...including me! Red Barchetta, YYZ, Working Man are all great songs. |

Love them! I think they are three of the most talented artist around. My favorite albums are Hold Your Fire, Presto and Counterparts.
|
Snakes and Arrows leaked today!
|
i've only heard their work up to Moving Pictures, all of which i highly enjoyed but then i decided to check out Grace Under Pressure and ill honeslty say the frist spin around i thought it was rather average and was dissapointing to me, maybe ill give it another go
|
dude, Neil Pert kicks ass, and Geddy Lee is a good bassist and somewhat good vocals, their not bad, not my favorite choice of a band though
|
I like moving pictures era rush. The new stuff just doesn't really cut it as much. Still a great band. Watching them live is pretty incredible. I saw them a long time ago with my mom on *i think* the roll the bones tour. Niel did a 15 min drum solo where his kit levetated off the ground and went upside down haha.
|
Good band. The singer sounds like he looks weird.........
yeah. |
Still listen to them. Love streaming them in over the net.
|
Rush>Music

You know, has anyone really took the time to notice this?
http://media.lvrj.com/images/1978201.jpg http://imagecache2.allposters.com/im...ks-Posters.jpg Neal Peart is Tom Hanks. Oh, and Rutsey was a good drummer, saying his death is no big deal because he was just the drummer, and comparing him to Peart and saying "well hes not as good", well thats just pure douchebaggery. Show some respect for the dead. |
They're long lost twins of different ages for sure.
hes a legendary drummer, if for the size of his kit alone. dude had a room |
I think Rush was absolutely brilliant up through Roll The Bones, and then they dried up on the songwriting front. They still produce SOME good music, but I never found them magical from start to finish, like I did the earlier works. For me, Hemispheres through Signals are the most magical years.
|
Yup, Rush is good.
My favorite song is Red Barchetta... I'd say Moving Pictures or Hemispheres are the best albums. Although, Snakes and Arrows was an awesome concert!!! |
I think my favorite Rush album is Exit Stage Left even though it's "only" a live album.
|
This band is good.
Geddy has one of the greatest voices in rock. Fuck haters. |
No....Geddy lee's voice is terrible but I am quite partial to Rush.
Some faves: A Farewell To Kings Moving Pictures Grace Under Pressure Hold Your Fire |

I think Geddy's voice has definitely improved over the years. Up until Moving Pictures, it definitely had room for improvement. It used to be really harsh, although the music made up for it's weakness.
|
im gonna be honest
they kinda make me wanna die... |

hahahaha true true

i love this band they are my favorite band of all time every single one of there songs are good:drummer:
|
Personally i think people think they can get away with trashing rush just because they sound so different. listen to the music people! the rythym is spot on, the band never gets off track and they have some of the best sounds and songs in rock. long live RUSH!
|
I like them.
|
They were good back in the early 80's and before, then they got too... poppy? I think that might be the right word, but they just stopped writing good music.

Yes, their later stuff just feels like they ran out of steam and just kinda shat out some tunes
|
I am not a huge Rush fan but Tom Sawyer is an all time classic. I saw them live in the 90s as well. And I was disappointed.

My sister insists that Geddy Lee is a woman.
I like Rush alright, I only have Moving Pictures, but I like it a lot. |
