Well, it was the Bengals, but hey, a win's a win.

And I heard Dalton got injured. Hopefully that means Nagy will start fields next week.

49ers would be a top 3 team in this league with the kind of talent they have and coaching. Injuries have been a crazy bitch.

Did the rest of the league learn something about D against the Chiefs from last years SB?

1-2, last place, with losses against the Ravens and Chargers!?!?!?!

I don't think that's it. Last year's Super Bowl saw a crippled Chiefs o-line with second stringers start, which was a big part of the problem. They've got a new, revamped o-line now.

But the key problem so far has seemed to be turnovers and in general, a bad defense, and a piss-poor run defense in particular. In the Chargers game, they turned the ball over 4 times. Mahomes is throwing picks, Tyreek is fumbling, it's ridiculous.

The media talking heads are going around saying: "Are the Chiefs in trouble?", "Have they lost their mystique?", etc., and I don't know if that's true. I do know that historically, it's very difficult for a Super Bowl losing team to make it back the next year.

Whatever is going on, I think they'll find a way to get things to start clicking again. Put it this way, if they can't beat the Eagles this weekend, then I'll start to worry.

never been to a bears game, bet its cool. only been to one football game in my life and it was eagles and giants at giants, cold asf lol

Plankton 09-30-2021 09:57 AM

Getting to Soldier Field has always been a PITA all the times I've driven past it, so if they do move out there to Arlington it should be a bit less stressful. In theory anyway.

I've never been to an actual game either. It's usually too ****ing cold, not to mention expensive. 30 pack of Busch is less than $20 and my couch is nice and warm.

They should put Nagy in to see how he deals with his own ineptitude.

That dude is the worst.

I'm also a big proponent of "it's better watching on my couch". Football games are too expensive to enjoy.

Plankton 09-30-2021 11:46 AM

He's the 2nd coming of Wannstedt and it's so bad it's hilarious.

I have a friend who has had reserved seats every year for the past 20 years or so and I still won't go. It mostly boils down to that fact that I hate being cold. I'm frail and I don't want anything snapping off.

Long time ago, I went to a Chargers @ Patriots game (back when they played in Foxboro Stadium). It was hard to see what was happening (didn't have the best seats), no color commentary (with the right commentator, like Tony Romo, I enjoy that), and we had a drunk a couple rows back who would not shut the **** up.

It was nice to experience the, as my professor once called it, "collective effervescence" of a big sports game (same sort of feeling with a concert, sort of), but I agree, I prefer my couch and cheap beer.

I concur about Married With Children being a great show btw, one of my favorite sitcoms:

Titans lost to the Jets in overtime!! The Titans were set up to kick an easy field goal and tie it but the kicker missed!

agree for the most part... Funny thing is that baseball is the opposite to me. Utterly boring to watch it on tv but it was fun to go to Yankees games at the old stadium just for the crowd and atmosphere.

However going to games at the old Marlins stadium (which is actually dolphins stadium) was super lame. Hot, sparsely populated football stadium that seats way more people than would ever go to see a ****ty baseball team that even the locals don't care about. And their mascot is some fruity fish. Everything about that **** was lame...

With the way the Bears are playing I don't blame you.

My wife and I went on a hike Sunday. I was somewhat regretful that I was going to miss the Chiefs game. When I got home, let's just say that I was glad that I missed it.

Lost your head coach and two first round picks in the same season.

Incredible sh*t, really.

i bet the Chiefs wished they had taken Jonathan Taylor instead of CEH with that first round pick, ah...not that you take a RB.

That's only the beginning of the Chiefs problems. The Super Bowl hangover is hitting hard this season.

As for that bull**** taunting call on Cassius Marsh, I feel for ya Bears bros. That was a straight up farce of a game. At least some humor came out of it...
