Fuck it. We're unbeaten and they aren't. They had one great performance against a below par side. We need the same players.

Defoe and Rooney upfront please.

Gerrard and Rooney linking up COULD undo a shakey German defence, if we see it. I would still rather see a 4-5-1 to allow Gerrard to sit behind and give him more freedom to look to do exactly this. However if we do go 4-4-2 which we probably will then yes, Defoe has to be up there with Rooney. He was chasing everything against Slovenia, even lost causes. He almost justified us playing the long ball. Almost.

Better than having a wheelie bin of a striker like Heskey up there. Someone who can chase AS WELL as finish. If it's not broke... don't fix it. 4-4-2 with the same players again for me.

That was a great performance from Japan! Entertaining but solid also. I think Paraguay have still been the better side so far but i wouldn't know which way to put my money on that game in the next round.

The truly memorable world cup classics are reserved for the knock-out stages.
The finals tend to suck, though.

Both Sth Korea and Japan present real threats and both line up against Sth American opposition, its a hard call.

A wheelie bin is a very good description of Heskey

I can't think of anything better to describe him, he just fits the bill.

As much as I wish the All Whites got through, it pleases me how shamed "world cup holders" Italy are.
