I'll bet the other kids in class side with the girl when she's in the room but when she leaves they're #teamsub after watching that world class shitrocking.

Hillary Clinton warns U.K. headed for 'fascism' over lawmaker abuse
1. Irony-ometer is off the charts. 2. Go home, Hillary. |

November 15th, 2019.
The **** that is going on today will be in history books - definitely not the biggest or anywhere near the last headline, but today will be in every 'greatest hits' video playback. I haven't even processed it all yet. The lady who testified today was mind blowing. After being rocked by Trump's real time attack, she held firm and instead of cracking rocked everyone in the room. Trying to remember the last time I saw a loud standing ovation for a witness in a congressional hearing. Trump's tweet - not a single person in the White House will sleep tonight. I can't think of a single defense that doesn't sound beyond ridiculous. Testimony from the guy at the lunch links EVERYTHING. More people heard the call. This ain't a nail, it's a ****ing torpedo. This day will also go down as the one time Jim Jordon was left speechless trying to find anything remotely positive to say. EDIT II: Did I just hear that Sonland told Trump on that call that the new Ukraine president loved his ass? EDIT III: Sonland will contact the FBI and ask for protection within the next 48 hours if not sooner. I'll eat my words if wrong. |

Chula's not even going to remember the details by next Friday.

You wouldn't understand. |
Bro you don't care cause it affects you, you care cause it's TV. The fact that it affects you just encourages you to rationalize why you're watching in the first place.

Well, honestly it's a little bit of both - but my kids are 30 and 36 so it does possibly affect them, and by extension, me and Linda. Honestly, if the guy got 4 more years (without having to worry about re-election), how much closer to being a despot would the US be in 2024? |
Honestly if he gets any closer it's because America has been getting less democratic for decades through the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. He was just crass enough to not care about maintaining plausible deniability of democracy.

After today I think a large enough percentage are going to realize this is not really the kind of explosions they may have imagined. Roger Stone being convicted today on all counts was big too. He lied under oath and might end up in prison for the rest of his life. What do you think Sonland's attorneys are telling him tonight? |

I think a large enough percentage don't really care about what government they live under so long as their perception of the status quo is maintained.

Everyone from White House staff to Joe Blow from Piscapo need to sleep on everything that happened today. The 'loves your ass' comment is now on the official record. Oh man, comedians of all stripes are creaming tonight. Trump's ego... https://media.tenor.com/images/dd431...611a/tenor.gif |

Americans are different and better than that because they're from where I was born, though.
Anyways, Trump pardons two officers and restores the rank of a third after all faced war crimes allegations |

Like how did Americans not riot over Lt. Calley being put under house arrest for a few years rather than serving real time for over twenty murders? Oh yeah cause people don't care.

TIL that Chula supports Trump's behaviour because it's not as bad as the stuff that this one fat Asian dude does.

Carry on with your pointless dissertation. |
Why would I engage with your Cold War nonsense? It's designed to make it okay to invade this country or that country based on what those politicians you keep bitching bout tell you.
Last time I checked North Korea was not about to invade America so... |

At least JWB asked difficult questions. Chula is just a US government stooge.
|
Q: Do you like apples or oranges?
A: What's the point, they're both associated with rot. Q: That wasn't the question. A: I won't bring myself down to choosing between which ultimate rot is better. Q: You could have simply said cucumbers. A: Now we're talking. Ding Dong. I miss OH! |
A more appropriate analogy
Batlord: The fruit industry is monopolized and people have no problem with that because it means that they get fruit for cheaper. Chula: Do you like apples or oranges? Batlord: What's the point, they're both associated with corporatization. Chula: That wasn't the question. Batlord: I won't bring myself down to choosing between your irrelevant false dichotomy. Chula: You could have simply said a random non-sequitur. Batlord: Ok boomer. |
One question. If all US ambassadors serve at the president's pleasure, why didn't Trump just recall Yovanovitch and say that due to a policy change she was being re-assigned.
Instead him and his key-stone cops decide to smear her with stupid conspiracy theory claims. And to do it with threats attached. Are they simply just that stupid? |
