I've got to admit,... that is a pretty witty slight, I am almost tempted to say that they're manufactured in Alaska. :)

GD 07-16-2016 11:18 AM

Well, um, the coup failed so...

William_the_Bloody 07-17-2016 09:57 AM

Actually it sounds pretty serious, and their current leader sounds like a bit of a despot; another country going down to the whims of populism?

The coup should allow him to solidify his power.

You guys are checking out other people's spelling to make witty literary comments???... I'll never understand the internet world.

Cuthbert 07-17-2016 12:20 PM

Nope. Just making the occasional joke when something humorous comes along.

^ Yeah, but I know which side to feel sorry for. Under the Geneva Convention, soldiers surrendering to an enemy can hope for some minimum of civilized treatment. I don't think Erdogan is going to be very forgiving of the soldiers who tried to oust him.

Germany axe attack: Assault on train in Wuerzburg - BBC News

Zhanteimi 07-18-2016 07:07 PM

^Totally believable.

Zhanteimi 07-18-2016 09:25 PM

A young, male Afghan refugee shouting "Allahu Akbar" and hacking at people with an axe in Germany is believable.

...it's believable because it's believable?

Zhanteimi 07-18-2016 09:38 PM

Believable because it doesn't surprise me.

Frownland 07-18-2016 09:40 PM

I'm aware of what believable means. Come on professor, three circular reasoning strikes and you're out.

Zhanteimi 07-18-2016 09:45 PM

Because there are terrorists posing as refugees to get into Europe.

Why do I have to state the obvious?

Frownland 07-18-2016 09:47 PM

I don't know, Rod asked.

Tbh though I think the real problem is terrorists posing as journalists.

Zhanteimi 07-18-2016 09:50 PM

That, too. Though this kid, at 17, couldn't have gotten in as a journalist.

For me it indicates something that may or may not be true, since that's what the article indicates.

Cuthbert 07-19-2016 12:47 AM

If the BBC have mentioned something like that then it is pretty much nailed on to be true. I know they refer to German media but if they can go out of their way to deny links to the RoP™ then they usually will.

Oh and:

So if the BBC says that claims of something are being investigated, then that thing is definitely a fact? Weird.

What's the RoP?

I haven't seen a single post from him defending ISIS.

Er, no. That would be you.

Zhanteimi 07-19-2016 08:09 PM

Er, no. That would be you, actually.

With his Hendrix poster comment, he is trying to draw an analogy to the ISIS flag in the man's room.

But, unlike the dhimmi, I take people at their word. The man had an ISIS flag, he attacked people with an axe, and he was crying "Allahu Akbar". The connection is clear. He is a Muslim terrorist.

Dhimmis, on the other hand, look for other explanations, anything to shift blame away from their precious Islam.

Let's go back to the stupid Hendrix poster example... he says he's a great guitarist because he has a poster of a great guitarist in his room. Okay, prove it. Maybe he can, maybe he cannot.

But the young Afghan refugee has an ISIS flag in his room. He follows that terrorist organization's aims. Okay, prove it. He picks up and axe, cries "Allahu Akbar", and hacks away at random people.

Dhimmis won't admit the obvious because they want to protect Muslims, especially when they're murdering psychopaths.

Janszoon 07-19-2016 08:11 PM

Nope, it's obviously you.

Justthefacts 07-19-2016 08:13 PM
