Aren't there some newer studies? I went through those links you posted, Merit and only a few were actually any kind of scientific paper. One was from 1957, another was from the 1800's!

There has to have been some advances in the field since then, right?

We need to take into account ALL reported cases of injury, along with the studies. Yes, studies are a great tool to gain knowledge, but things happen outside of these studies that we need to take into mind as well.
