Ahhh, good ol' Jim Bakker minus the Tammy Faye.
An ex-con and a "man of Gawd"!

You live in a better country than mine by any metric so it doesn't really matter.

Key 05-14-2017 10:57 AM

I didn't imply that. I just meant that it must be nice to be able to watch from afar and not be affected by anything that goes on here. Really makes it easy for you to form your opinions when you're not affected by anything.

Pretty heavy ****.

Clapper: US institutions 'under assault' - CNNPolitics.com

Quote:

"I think in many ways our institutions are under assault both externally -- and that's the big news here is the Russian interference in our election system -- and I think as well our institutions are under assault internally," Clapper said on CNN's "State of the Union."
Pressed by anchor Jake Tapper if he meant US institutions were under assault internally from the President, Clapper responded, "Exactly."

Not really. See stuff and react to it.

Kinda like the general American attitude towards the rest of the world. Salty bitch

Well yes. I'm just being salty for the sake of being salty.

Name a metric that the UK is better than the US.

Key 05-14-2017 02:48 PM

We have Trump. And Florida.

I think a lot of Americans underestimate the horrors of crime and the disintegration of the schools in the U.K. But in the pits of America's worst areas it's a lot worse. Parts of Baltimore, Detroit, DC, Atlanta, and of course, Chicago are so ****ing unlivable. I know getting jacked in London hurts just as much as in New York and dead is dead but even so.

Also, don't underestimate how horrible our healthcare system is if you're poor. Turned away, left to die, and still put in bankruptcy.

And while I'm at it, our penal system. For profit torture chambers. Anal rape for marijuana possession and then they charge you for it and make it almost impossible to work again.

If you're still in decent health life is probably better for the young working poor in America.

Maybe.

Tuition rates. If it's as bad in the U.K. I'm sorry to hear that.

Months later, still trying to wrap my head around the fact that the former CEO of Exxon Mobil Oil is the current Secretary of State of the United States of America.

Because of all of the mud in the water we've all lost focus on this disturbing fact. Trump's become an absolute master of crapping on the wall with fresh streaming crap to make us forget about the crap that was slung on the wall last week.

He's bloody brilliant!

You would think that would be the endgame if there's actual collusion

It's all about keeping a low profile, I'm sure. He's going to try to avoid revealing that info as much as possible so any sign of him even helping Russia at all would be a bad move. That's just my thought anyway.

Also I'm high so if that makes no sense, well **** it.

Make sure you're always too high to make much sense so as to not hurt your mystique as an artist.

Anteater 05-14-2017 04:31 PM

Well...if even a top columnist at The New York Times thinks collusion is unlikely, you know that ship is sunk.

Only for pints. Nobody's gonna say "Give us seventy-five centilitres of beer then ' Arry", or whatever.

Miles tend to still get used for speed and even distance, but other than that mostly it's all about the metric system now. 'Murica's behind the times.

^ I don't know what you base that opinion on, Goofle, but it can't be on the statistics I've just gleaned from Wikipedia:-

Quote:

United Nations figures for homicide rates (2013) per 100, 000 people:-
USA : 3.9
UK : 0.9

Incarceration rates per 100,000 people (2016):-
USA : 693
UK : 122

Life expectancy - male/female figures averaged out (2015) :-
USA : 69.1
UK : 71.4

Obesity rates - male/female figures averaged out (2007/8):-
USA : 34.5 % of total poulation
UK : 23 % of ditto
Yes, the USA invented jazz and Bob Dylan, and they put a man on the moon, but that shouldn't cloud our judgement. Also, let's not forget that they still owe us the tax on all that tea they threw into Boston Harbour!

Goofle 05-14-2017 06:11 PM

How about the "Holy sh*t I live in America" rate?

But I'm happy to concede that I kinda overlooked stuff like that when making my original post. But there's obviously individual accountability that comes with those stats.

Key 05-14-2017 06:18 PM

Goof getting owned by Lisna is such a nice thing to see.

Goofle 05-14-2017 06:42 PM

Owned by myself more than anything. Nothing Lisna said should change anybody's mind considering they are pretty much entirely a result of personal choice.

OccultHawk 05-14-2017 06:52 PM

Personal choice to do what?

Life expectancy is a personal choice? Do you realize how ****ing insensitive that is?

Key 05-14-2017 07:02 PM

well that too but i figured that was obvious

OccultHawk 05-14-2017 07:08 PM

****

It's so insane I couldn't get what he was saying.

Being murdered is a personal choice? Trump might even have trouble selling that to his base. Just kidding.

Goofle 05-14-2017 07:09 PM

It's insensitive to point out that eating and living unhealthily may result in a poor life expectancy?

You do something that may result in you getting arrested... You're probably gonna get arrested bro.

The only category that is arguably not related to personal experience is the homicide rate, but I'd guess a lot of that isn't a result of randomly walking down the street minding your own business.
