To be fair, I don't think the integration of different cultures does sh*t to our identity as Americans. New York City is a gigantic cauldron of different cultures but still maintains its "New York" feel that is unique to any other city in the world.

First off that's an extraordinary claim so let's see some stats. Second, you're talking in specifics, I'm talking in general, sometimes it is necessary for the welfare of a country, which is full and barely able to support it's own people, to not accept more people..

It's analogous to overfilled foster homes.

Yeh because our identity as Americans is a melting pot... the rest of the world is not like that. Not saying it's bad, but I don't want the rest of the world to be like us.

Except economies are not foster homes and do not operate that way

"space" is very rarely the issue

People produce as well as consume

In a macro sense it's just another way to divide the workers of the world so they can't unite against the monarch class

Illiteracy surely doesn't help either while taking in so many migrants into western countries. Germany, France and Sweeden's culture is nearly non existent at this rate. To many people are draining the welfare state cause of this issue and unemployment and crime is through the roof and there's nothing right with that.

Germany: 2/3 of Syrian migrants illiterate

Who said anything about space? I'm talking about the ability to support.. You're acting like there is an infinite amount of all resources... Ever increasing populations create positive feedback loops for pollution, economics, the environment, agriculture, etc... You need to look at the whole picture and stop cherry picking. You think population growth can never outpace infrastructure growth?

Edit: I used to think like you ya know? Then I opened my eyes to the reality sustainability.

It won't if you have a competent system in place like most developed nations more or less do

And countries that do not won't be the ones migrated to

Shortage of resources is not the actual issue the world faces
