Funny how Chunk Yogurt can lecture anyone when he named his channel after the perpetrators of the Armenian Genocide. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Fox has people of different perspectives as guests and gives air time to different types of conservative. I'm not sure if I've simply missed TYT doing the same, but I've never seen them give credible air time to somebody of a vastly different political persuasions.

TYT isn't trying to copy the Fox platform or as they say traditional media. Fox brings on those guests just as a front and barely lets them talk. It is a complete farce.

TYT has the progressive aggressives which are a bit further left than their main show but at the end of the day they aren't a 24 hour news network like Fox.

My close friend used to love TYT until he realized they often times skew facts as well.

Edit: I hands down believe Russia had something to do with Trump. They wanted Trump. They knew the type of **** Trump would stir. It fits completely with how they discussed gaining power in the US according to the wikipedia summary of the 1997 Russian book The Foundation of Geopolitics: The Geopolitical Future of Russia

Quote:

In the United States:

Russia should use its special services within the borders of the United States to fuel instability and separatism, for instance, provoke "Afro-American racists". Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social and racial conflicts, actively supporting all dissident movements – extremist, racist, and sectarian groups, thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics."
Coincidence that this is exactly what seems to be happening right now when they are suspected of tampering with our election?

Seriously though. Why is this not being discussed? Am I just full of **** or being paranoid here or does this scarily match exactly what is happening in the US right now during and after the election that is suspected of Russian tampering?

Frownland 09-18-2017 06:56 PM

The Russians have been openly practicing Kompromot for a while now. It's not news to me. I do question how much they actually had an effect on anything though.

If they put somebody in power that they knew was going to stir up racial tensions then it plays a huge part. And even sadder is how easy it was to tear people apart regardless of how much Russia had to do with it.

Frownland 09-18-2017 07:35 PM

I meant how large of a role they played in getting Trump elected. They made efforts for sure, but I think the onus is more on social media and curated content than a specific foreign interest.

The problem with your reasoning is that if you look at certain people in Clinton's camp (like the Podesta brothers for instance) there were ties to Kremlin-related institutions too. Super obvious ones. Ties that include things like "money" and "property". The collusion narrative could have fit either camp if you wanted to dig enough...the Democrats were just smarter about who they talked to and how they handled their audit trail. Compared to the team Clinton assembled around her, Trump's campaign was a sloppier affair in every way you can think of.

Russia had no way of knowing who was going to win the election, and all the public data available up until almost the night-of said election pointed to Hillary winning in a landslide in both the popular vote and Electoral College. Anyone who thinks they were savvy enough to hack Trump into office despite the overwhelming media coverage predicting Hillary's win is naive.

I didn't even get to Ana's part yet. He goes off on so many unnecessary tangents. I ended up just stopping the video.

He's a massive douche and supported Clinton. Safe to say I don't really like his political opinions, but he's brilliant at taking the piss out of TYT.

That negates nothing I said though. In fact, it literally avoids the question in it's self by debating points I never made.

Putin must be so proud! No, you can't have ****ing independence, and if you try it we'll use the might of the state to crack down on you. Now shut up.

Yes mate. As far as I know, Spain has not given Catalonia a binding referendum. Catalonia saying they'll declare independence within 48 hours, Madrid will just not give consent for independence so what's the point of all this?

Bitter wee Scotsmen go on about how awful the English are but the UK just told them to go for it.

Well if you ignore Spain's edicts for long enough and just act like you're an independent country then you'll force them to either occupy the area militarily, with all the headache that would bring, or just give up and let them have independence. I'm assuming that's the plan.

Oh yeah I agree. Bit pathetic they're not being allowed a binding referendum. Will be interesting to see how it turns out.
