Unknown Hinson on 4/20.

Stephen 03-20-2012 06:03 PM

Still waiting for Dead Can Dance to announce their Melbourne dates. Already missed out on tickets for Radiohead. Pretty bummed about that. I don't imagine there will be quite the same demand for Dead Can Dance though but who knows.

Euronomus 03-20-2012 07:38 PM

Going to see Mr. Gnome on the 12th super stoked

Insane Guest 03-20-2012 08:56 PM

I might go see the Pink Floyd Experience next Wednesday, WYWH in it's entirety, sounds like a good night.

Coachella in 30 fucking days, Refused, Amon Tobin, Explosions, Black Keys, Datsik....just the first day!

What a perfect day for a show like that.

jackhammer 03-21-2012 06:55 PM

I was going to the UK festival Bloodstock in August but it looks like I am heading to the Czech Republic instead for the Brutal Assault fest with a line up that includes:

Machine Head
Fields Of The Nephilim
Ministry
Pig Destroyer
Heathen
Sodom
Riverside
Converge
Municipal Waste

Just has to be done :)

bob. 03-22-2012 07:25 AM

that should be done!

GravitySlips 03-22-2012 11:04 AM

Anyone seen Spiritualized live? Considering going to see them tonight, they're playing at a venue about 30 seconds from where I live. I'm a huge Spacemen 3 fan but never quite got into Spiritualized the same way - anyone know if they're worth seeing?

Got two freebies. Had to buy an extra for my friend at 22.00. I wouldn't put that past you. I'm usually good for a six pack of micros, and i always have extras. I'll put you down for next year, should be another great show as always.

bob. 03-22-2012 01:46 PM

to quote....."i was born with a bottle in my mouth!"

right on man....i have a year to plan this time....rather than just a few weeks :)

I'm thinking that, too. I guess I'll go! :)

bob. 03-22-2012 02:20 PM

there is no denying that "Ladies and Gentleman We Are Floating In Space" is in it's own right a masterpiece :)

edit....although i hate the fact that when i try to look up Cop$hootCop lyrics i can more hits for them the band itself :)

Satisfaction 03-22-2012 04:43 PM

I'm seeing the Chili Peppers in September :D

Bulgaria?

Zer0 03-22-2012 06:59 PM

I'm seeing The Cure at the Electric Picnic festival at the start of September and I can't bloody wait. Also playing are Sigur Ros, Cranes, The xx, Bat For Lashes, The Horrors, Lanterns On The Lake among others. It'll be my first festival in four years which makes it all the more awesome.

The Cure AND Cranes? Colour me jealous.

bob. 03-24-2012 09:51 AM

^x2

also Sigur Ros really put on an emotion show.....cried my eyes out when i saw them

wexy 03-24-2012 01:08 PM

Wild Flag on 4/1. Dr John on 4/5 with Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys. Ting Tings on 4/10
Tune-yards on 6/1 and Grouplove 6/10 with some others in between.
Just recently saw Zola Jesus, Sharon Van Etten and EMA Erika Anderson.

and Roger Waters in July and what the heck Madonna(ill bring a date) at Yankee Stadium in September

Zosofancmr1 03-25-2012 01:05 AM

I'm going to see Roger Waters perform the Wall in May, as well as Jack White. I'd like to see Van Halen, but they are going to be performing on the night of my wedding and my wife would killllllll me! haha

I could have seen Sigur Ros at a festival in 2007 but I chose to go see Rodrigo y Gabriella instead as they were on at the same time. Certainly no regrets as they were probably the best live band I've ever seen but I'm psyched to see Sigur Ros this year.

The Cranes seem tied to The Cure. I saw them both with Dinosaur Jr. at The Rose Bowl back on the Wish Tour. The Cranes were so bleak and distorted which was pretty awesome.

bob. 03-29-2012 03:50 AM

color ME jealous....when i saw Dinosaur Jr ....Band of Horses opened which damn near ruined the night

cLoCkWeRk 03-29-2012 07:14 AM

Whitechapel - The Orange Peel

Whitechapel - "This Is Exile" Metal Blade Records - YouTube

Phantom Limb 03-29-2012 10:30 AM

Might be going to see shabazz palaces on tuesday, but that's only if I can get work off.

jackhammer 03-30-2012 04:55 PM

The Cult, The Mission and Killing Joke in September.

Also Wheatus are playing at a local pub not 15 minutes away and I might just go for a laugh. Teenage Dirtbag was a terrible track but I just find it so funny that they are coming here and if they are awful it's one of the few decent pubs around here so I will just get hammered.

LoathsomePete 03-30-2012 04:58 PM

Jealous. I was looking at Killing Joke's tour dates but unfortunately nothing in North America this year. I really wish I went to go see them in December of 2010. It would have involved driving to San Francisco and probably staying overnight, but after their last two albums ([i]Absolute Dissent (2010) and MMXII (2012)) I really need to see them.

I saw them in 2008 and I have to say I was a little disappointed but it's the original line up now and I have never seen The Cult plus The Mission blew me away when I saw them a few months back.

Need to get the new Killing Joke album too.

It's not out till Monday, PM me an e-mail address if you'd like it early. That way you, bob, and I can talk about it.

ohsen12 03-30-2012 08:06 PM

Going to the Vans Warped Tour this year, my second attendance since last years. Really looking forward to it. Watched City And Colour in February. If money was not limited and I had more time on my hands I would be going to concert every week. Unfortunately, nothing can stop me from fantasizing.

Raust 04-01-2012 12:32 PM

Going to go see Megadeth and Rob Zombie on May 22nd. Should be a pretty sick show.

bob. 04-01-2012 12:41 PM

i saw White Zombie years ago.....and it was by far one of the funnest shows i've been to.....like a psychedelic nightmare in hell

The Fascinating Turnip 04-01-2012 12:53 PM

I'm going to see Radiohead in July as part of a festival, which will also include seeing The Kills, The Maccabees, Warpaint and a few others of little interest.
Unfortunately, I bought the ticket for that day quite early on (after I discovered Radiohead where popping by) and a few months ago they confirmed The Stone Roses and The Cure as headliners for the remaining 2 days. I'm cheesed off.

Kirby 04-01-2012 02:12 PM

Tenacious D on June 25th.
Pretty god damn excited.

LoathsomePete 04-01-2012 03:31 PM

Debating whether or not I want to see Das Racist on Tuesday. $25 seems a little steep though...

jackhammer 04-01-2012 06:41 PM

I am so going to stick out like a sore thumb when I will see Melody Gardot next month with my bald head, tattoos and piercings. I am thinking of purposefully wearing a really offensive metal T shirt just for the hell of it.

It will be worth it if she plays this though:

stuvanberkel 04-01-2012 07:27 PM

I just heard Bon Iver is playing in Calgary but both shows are sold out, I'm still trying to get tickets on Kijiji but they're expensive. Other than that, I have Kasabian in April, Arctic Monkeys/Black Keys in May and Beirut in July.

jackhammer 04-08-2012 04:56 PM

Alcest and Napalm Death have just been added to the Brutal Assault line up :)

Oh ****. Napalm Death should be a good show. I don't listen to Alcest enough to make an opinion.
