More enjoyable to listen than Robert Johnson I reckon.

Well... I've barely heard any Robert Johnson so I can't compare

Bought a new CD today! Hurrah! First in a while! By a band I have loved for a long time, too...

Back Spacer - Pearl Jam

Initial impressions are good! If I wasn't mistaken I thought I could hear just a small tinge of Vedder's love of old Split Enz songs.... just the smallest tinge, only...

LoathsomePete 09-21-2009 08:02 PM

Gone on a bit of a spree today, none of it I've heard before so it's all new and exciting...

Palodine - Desolate Sons and Garden of Deceit

Age of Silence - Acceleration

Eyedea & Abilities - E & A

Heroin And Your Veins - Dead People's Trails

Povarovo - Tchernovik

Smoke City - Flying Away

Telepopmusik - Genetic World

On first impressions it's better than i'd expected :) and at 35 minutes it's a pretty short for a PJ album. The only thing i have against it at the moment is that the cd packaging was designed in such a way that it doesn't fit into a standard cd rack slot :( i'll find a home for it somehow

Mojo 09-22-2009 03:12 PM

I hate shit like that. CD's that either in skinny cardboard cases that for some reason are too WIDE to fit in a rack or double albums that are still in those massive boxes that are the size of bricks.

Raditude 09-23-2009 05:47 AM

Btw, that Pearl Jam album sucks ass!

FETCHER. 09-23-2009 07:49 AM

currently downloading Radiohead - Amnesiac & Massive Attack - Mezzanine. Radiohead to see what the big hype is :) and Massive Attack - Mezzanine, cos i was recommended it :)

Mojo 09-23-2009 08:24 AM

I'm not sure if Amnesiac is the way forward if its your first Radiohead album mind you. I would keep an open mind, even if you don't like it. I would have probably have gone for The Bends, OK Computer or maybe even Kid A for you to start with.

Props for Mezzanine though.

J.P. Buckle - Flyin' Lo-Fi

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA240_.jpg

I ordered the CD cheap from Amazon Marketplace and the seller sent me the wrong thing, a mix compilation from the retail chain Buckle. So it turns out they don't have the one I ordered after all, and all other copies are pretty costly. So a DL it is!

Finally got around to:

Bitta Orca - Dirty Projectors
http://covblogs.com/eatingbark/bitte%20orca.jpg

Maybe it's because I've only listened to it once, but I'm not enjoying it as much as I thought I would. I still think it's a good album I'm just a little let down I s'pose. Love the vocals though, reminds me a lot of Nat Baldwin.. if you like Dave Longstreth's style I highly suggest checking him out.

adidasss 09-23-2009 02:03 PM

It's definitely a grower, don't give up on it.
