Cat Stevens - Tea For The Tillerman One of those classics you hear about. Liking it so far. http://www.sputnikmusic.com/images/albums/40784.jpg Horse The Band - Secret Rhythm Of The Universe I had one song from this for the longest time. Couldn't find it for the longest time but my hunting has improved. Not as good as the later albums, sloppy, bad mix but I liked it and it shows how they started. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_HLvzAEFG_l...0/image+14.bmp Every Time I Die - Gutter Phenomenon Favorite of theirs so far. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_w-u62XGbbZ...ng_feeling.jpg No Age - Losing Feeling Excellent upon first listen. These guys are one of my favorite bands. |

I'm sure if I can't get in I'll be able to enjoy their set curbside, it is a small venue afterall. :( |

Hahaha.
I'm figuring the bouncers might find the monocle overkill and see right through my plans. |
Hmm... you should bring a pair of opera binoculars to compensate.

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_zmP46NZQDI...uck_cover1.jpg Joe Buck Yourself - Joe Buck Yourself The name made me chuckle and he's friends with Hank Williams III so I figured it was worth a try. http://othersidedmusic.files.wordpre...kollektief.jpg Kammerflimmer Kollektief - Cicadidae Some dark jazz I was recommended, I find it helps with writing and I've got mid terms coming up. |

It's the same with a lot of sludge or drone for me. Thats probably my preference when it comes to metal but if i were to play some of these bands back to back then i would likely need something a little mellower or maybe poppy to follow.
|
Well that Kammerflimmer Kollektief album was wank, I'm starting to get a little annoyed with the stuff last.fm has been recommending me lately. Seems I've worked my way through all the good stuff and now it's just recommending me the crap. Anyhow I think these three will be my last of the night:
http://atlmetal.com/blog/wp-content/...ll-300x300.jpg Immortal - All Shall Fall Follow up to 2002's amazing album Sons Of Norther Darkness and it's just as good. Really shows how they've matured as a band as their sound is far more controlled while still being just as abrasive. http://mog.com/images/users/0000/002...207784235.jpeg The Builders and the Butchers - The Builders and the Butchers The album artwork looked intriguing so I figured I'd give it a shot. http://www.buzzine.com/wp-content/up...d_20080708.jpg Th Legendary Shack Shakers - Swampblood Been meaning to look up these guys for awhile now, decided to try their newest album and work my way back if it appeals to me. |
Hope those both worked out well for you! Interesting that you chose the first one by cover art impression... there's something to be said about the correlation between creative artwork and creative music... usually the more creative cover art goes hand in hand with something interesting musically...

I've been slow to really look into Bowie. Glad I'm doing it now though. |

Koenjihyakkei - Nivraym Just started listening, but it's great so far. Maybe not quite as good as Angherr Shisspa, but we'll see. |
I still have a bunch of discs I gotta upload to my device... some stuff by the Sundays, some Midnight Oil, New Order and even some early Sting (when he still made good music and was renowned for that rather than his whol tantric sex thing...)

Th' Legendary Shack Shakers - Believe http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2eKYvTBYm8...0/folder-1.jpg Th' Legendary Shack Shakers - Pandelirum I really like these guys, they remind me a lot of Southern Culture On the Skids. http://i39.tinypic.com/2uequsw.jpg Hank Williams III - Risin' Outlaw I only have one of his albums and decided that I needed more. |

was getting sick with The Cramberries. Each track seems like a remake of the track "Zombies". But last week listened to "will you remember?", and it caught my attention. So i searched it and thought of downloading the album:
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000001E9I.jpg very nice album. A bit redundant all in all, but there is some really good bits in it. My favorites: Salvation, I just shot John Lennon, Will you remember? and Bosnia I'm still at my first listen so some other favorites might reveal. |

I always found the Cranberries a bit of a bland experience for my ears... Dolores O'Rierdan (sp) had a great voice but was seemingly let down by substandard material... like you said.... wongs sometimes sound a bit too much like Zombies...
However one exception has to be the very gorgeous "Linger" which I always felt was a very captivating song. Best Cranberries song IMO. |

I don't have this song, nor any of the Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? album.

^^^^ Man you can't beat the 'real' Misfits, those 3 albums are just so good. Static Age has more killer hooks than a whale-hunter's shed.
