So i went to the local record exchange and sold a bunch of old embarrassing albums from a 4-5 years ago and picked up two little treasures:

Piper at the Gates of Dawn - The whole special edition 3 disc thingy, and the third disc is worth the buy alone

Kid A (Vinyl) - It sounds absolutely incredible, even on our supremely old record player

Fantastic set is'nt it? The added bonus of the Syd scrapbook makes it a superb package.

When you finally wrestle the album off him listen to it on half decent headphones. It takes on a whole new level.

I love this film, and I'm not enen an emo....but the album is not that good really. I believe the songs only work when you are watching the movie. I would say 6/10.

Last album I downloaded was peter Gabriel's "Big Blue Ball" compilation - didn't listen to it thoroughly, as it was only a demo version and unfortunately the time limitation to hear it all lapsed. which sucked. Damn it all... :-(

Before that, the last CD i bought was REM's Accelerate album. Big fan of the band, and very pleased with this album which is something of a return to form in my opinion...

A classic reggae release. Essential to say the least.

Acquired (through my friend) -

WTF did I just listen to?!

A fine dub/Drum n Bass release.

Downloaded -

More reggae/dub, African style.
