It's mediocre. Not very good. They tried to experiment and made an average album, they're much better off not experimenting.

And how do they know that before they've experimented?

It's not a great album but it's far from bad.

For people who think if you take away Dylan's lyrics you don't have much left have you heard some of his Blonde on Blonde/Highway 61 Revisited stuff? I imagine you have since they're probably two of his most acclaimed albums ever. He wrote some god awful lyrics on some of the songs, take Ballad of a Thin Man for instance.

Oh and Johnny Marr is a much bigger twat than Morrissey. At least when you pay to see Morrissey perform he doesn't go up on stage and insult you.

And some of his best music as well.

Ooo, when did Marr insult people?

Last night when I went to see Modest Mouse. He was just the biggest prick at the concert and insulting the crowd the whole time. If he wasn't in such good bands I'd feed his family to bears.

Oh dears, what sort of things was he saying? Morrissey has been known to pick on people in the crowds but i think its always tongue in cheek.
Good gig?

The gig was one of the best I'd been to in awhile The National/Modest Mouse/REM all we're amazing I think it's the most consistent gig I've been to. Marr just made comments about 'rather be in America (the show was in Vancouver, Canada)' and just acting like a prick towards the crowd with his generic random name-calling. He has a pretty bad personality.

Anyway reading the last few pages of this thread we're like slamming my head into a window on purpose.

Its not bad music it just don't hit you somewhere deeper and his solo work was even worse which leads me to believe someone in the Beatles was pulling the weight (I suspect Harrison.)

I pretty much hate it whenever someone uses words like "they didn't feel the music". It makes me want to punch somebody. Because its pretentious bullcrap.
