My unpopular opinion: people say they don't "get" music are whack and just trying to lessen the blow they'd receive from saying they don't like it like a normal human being

i respect 'em for their impact and w/e but when i listen to them i don't really get anything out of it. i never can sit down and say "oh yeah, i understand why people like this."
