Yeah obviously I've thought that before. Is there a problem with that? When all you see are bands fronted by males, and then see a band fronted by a girl (backed by a band full of dudes) yeah my first thought is this chick fucking shreds. And after seeing said bands multiple times those thoughts seem to fade away and they just become another great local band. But yeah, I don't find a problem with that.

Or maybe you just never thought that hard about it in the first place and used a few more bitch singers to justify not worrying about it.

Most of what you posted is tied more or less to extreme metal, and I'm just done with that whole thing. You clearly love this stuff and that's awesome. I just can't find it in me to care about it.

I mean, I'll listen to a bit of Gorod or something once in a while, but I feel no drive to explore further in this direction. There's so much other music out there that has a much stronger pull on me. Metal in general and especially extreme metal bores me to tears (with increasingly fewer exceptions).

"Great for a bunch of chicks." You're automatically putting women musicians in a different, possibly lesser, category than male counterparts simply because they are women, friend. Might as well be "great for a bunch of monkies."

I'm not saying women don't influence music differently but that doesn't mean women, or anyone, should be set apart.

No one's saying whether it's "great for chicks" or "bad for chicks". It just is what it is. The majority of bands are primarily male. We can discuss whether that's a strange occurrence or not, but the fact remains that when a band with all females hops onstage (at least here where I live), it's definitely not as taboo as some other places. Now obviously people that watch their shows in their heads debate whether they can go toe to toe with their male counter parts but for the MOST part some of these chicks are even better. Not all the time though.

The majority of bands may be male, but it seems to me like solo artists tend to be majority women (Cher, Madonna, Rihanna, Beyonce, Lady GaGa, etc.)
