But we're not talking about a revolutionary force. We're talking about music.
To call something overrated is to say that you don't like something nearly as much as the general public does. What 'it' has influenced has no influence on personal opinion, thus, does not affect the notion of calling something overrated.

The music in itself can still be overrated if you don't think someone's legendary status (because of said music) is deserved.

But I understand how it feels not to "get" something that everyone thinks is this untouchable force of awesomeness. Only in my case it's Bob Dylan.

Pitchfork is a terrible site, their recommendations are terrible and their reviews are as ridiculously pretentious as you can get.
