Refused's The Shape of Punk to Come is the best album I've heard from the last 15 years

it may not be unpopular on these forums. But I know it is among a lot of the people I know. 95% of the music these days, is utter garbage. The 90's was the last great era for good rock

If you take a look at the liner notes, all the band members still had a large input. Another thing I like about DOTU is that, in my opinon, it doesn't have any songs that fall flat on their face like Half and Kickstand. Also-

Boot Camp > Like Suicide

as far as being album closers are concerned anyway.

So are you saying rock is the only good music? Or are your last two sentences two separate and unrelated claims?

I'm gonna suggest you check this comp., and if you still don't like it, then you really hate synthesizers.

I like them in measured doses, but for the most part they kind of get on my nerves

this is perfect synth to me:

but I will download your comp

I just think a loooooooooooot of post punk bands take the influence of a band that did some good synths and ran with it. I don't think they were very good at making songs where the synth was the focused instrument to be listenable songs.

Well, on this comp., synths are dominant, or it's only synths and drum machines, really stripped down. But give it a listen. And this is perfect synth for me:

and this

I think the band Trust Company is underrated, and that their debut "The Lonely Position Of Neutral" is a forgotten nu-metal classic.
