Not sure how unpopular this opinion is but Queens Of The Stone Age > White Stripes when it comes to modern rock.

I will say something may be overhyped, but overrated? no...

You may have "taste", but yours is no better than mine. So this "taste" you speak of reeks of obnoxious elitism.

It is okay to not to like something, but can you give more of a reason into why you think they suck? easier to take things seriously if the person saying so can elaborate on why something sucks..
It's called a joke

that it is.

Should ask Morrisey when he is going to remaster the rest of his stuff.

What are your favorite albums by them? I think Homme is quite a talented musician and I enjoyed his work with JPJ and Grohl on "Them Crooked Vultures." Have you ever heard Homme's secret message at the end of Mastadon's "Blood Mountain"?

"Welcome to Sky Valley" followed by "Blues for the Red Sun".

I have not listened to much Mastadon, apart from the "Lifesblood" EP.

You should check out that album I recommended if you like 'em. You've heard "Colony of Birchmen" right?

The fine people at Rhino will take care of that... which is Warner. They have been so far.
