Hm for some that'll do indeed. He ain't a bad singer alright, I just find his voice, lyrics and overall songs too bland to interest me, maybe I'm picky or something, dunno, but I just don't care for his music and I find him highly overrated for what he's doing (since it's not anything special at all). What's worse is that now he's trying to have "swag", AKA he wants to blend in with the hiphop scene except he's a pop singer and not a rapper so I don't even know what he's trying.

thing is, though, everybody's trying to get into the "hip-hop" scene cos that's what sells these days

The fake hiphop scene maybe. Ya know, the stuff that is being classified as hiphop even though it's really just pop with hiphop-ish beats like Nicki Minaj (I mean c'mon, she barely raps anymore). I still find the choice dubious, he got famous because he was a sweet innocent boy with a nice face and foolish lyrics about teenage love that girls from 10 to 16 years could relate to, I don't see why he should leave what he's doing now as he has a massive fanbase of these teenage girls already, he could make millions by doing the same shit over and over again.

Well, since I figured I'd repost this one.

Up is REMs best album.

Technical Ecstacy is on the level of the first 6 Sabbath albums.

Yeah probably, but then again, he's 18 now, he still has a couple of years to go before it starts to get creepy. I don't mind it too much either way.

but c'mon, any music geek's value is in the size of his record collection and how many obscure stuff he has

I don't think the Beatles were all that great. In fact, I find them to be a bit boring.
