Absolutely not. Everybody thinks something is true, and so it is (for them).

Here's something Friedrick said about it:
"Convictions are more dangerous enemies of truth than lies"

I see. I guess certain definitions vary from person to person (especially with vague words such as truth).

I knew Nietzsche spoke about certain accepted ideas under our collective consciousness (I heard in a lecture once that he would occasionally champion science as an effective mode of understanding) , but I never knew he said truth existed.

I think it would be too difficult for me to be able to name the best post-punk band. It doesn't really have a definitive sound or style. However, a few of my favorites are: This Heat (especially This Heat), Joy Division, Cardiacs, Pere Ubu, Wire, The Raincoats, and The Homosexuals.

Magazine are wonderful, too.

This Heat isn't post punk tho, they pre-date punk if I recall correctly.

Actually I think I change my mind, Gang of Four is the best post punk band, but that's not an unpopular opinion

Wire is boring as hell

They were formed in 1976, but their music really didn't start to take the shape that we know of now until late 1977. As far as their recorded material is concerned... a lot of their songs could be considered post-punk.

I'm certain you've never read Nietzsche lol. If you did, you'd know that truth and lie are one and the same and that what we call "truth" is simply the tiniest lie. So yeah, there is indeed truth but not the "absolute truth".

I've read several works of his actually, such as: Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Twilight of the Idols. Will to Power, and My Sister and I.

If YOU have read Nietzche you would know that reading into the philosophies of others and even himself would make you a fool. He may have not believed in an absolute truth, but you are using these philosophies as if they are.
