Nas is still alive, Biggie and Tupac were who I was referring to. Anyway, Illmatic is decent but nothing to get too excited about imo.

Yeah gotta agree with Frowns there, totally didn't get Illmatic and its popularity. I've been told it was the first album that restructured flow schemes and utilized that type of production, but that's only if you're comparing it exclusively to other rap.

Stillmatic was cool, but half of it is mediocre. Illmatic might be painfully old school, but there isn't a weak track on it.

I'm not sure what "that type of production" would be, it doesn't have production style that sounds notably different from other albums from that time. And it certainly was not the first album to restructure flow.

What has Eminem ever came out with that surpasses Illmatic?

NONE of Em's albums are close to the impact that album made.

Nobody cares about impact when they are discussing how good the music is.

I'd take Em's first two albums over Illmatic any day.

Eminem is not better than Nas boo sorry or 2pac. Biggie is arguable. However, Biggie has more classics.

Where did I say anything about Eminem? Oh, right now: Eminem makes the most interesting music out of the four (Biggie Tupac Jay-Z Nas) and has the best flow. I don't listen to him much at all so I can't say anything about it lyrically except for get over your mom, Eminem. I could give a **** about impact or what are considered classics, a bunch of people have terrible taste so whether or not an artist influenced them doesn't matter to me.

Unpopular opinion: Eminem is overrated because he is a white man that raps.

Illmatic is one of the greatest albums of all time, sad you have to be a minority to really understand what the man was talking about on the album.
