Nice balance of heavy with melody, dynamics, and no cookie monster vocals.

I'm sure many people would agree with you, including myself. I consider it the Pink Floyd's White Album which is also a complete borefest.

I love The Wall but "Mother", "In the Flesh", and "Comfortably Numb" are the only real standouts for me, I also like "Hey You" and "Young Lust".

Once you take the time to listen to the story, you become more partial to it.

It took me years before I really started loving The Wall as a whole, though I still kind of feel like there's a little bit of filler with Vera and Bring the Boys Back Home.

I understand the cultural reference in Vera and the significance of Bring the Boys Back Home (Roger's dad never came home from the war) but the album could have done without both and still been a fine listen.

My favorite tracks from The Wall: Young Lust, One of My Turns, Another Brick in the Wall, pt III, Waiting for the Worms. It's a beautiful album if you take the time to acquaint yourself with it.

Why are none of you mentioning "The Trial'? That's a killer song.

The Trial, Mother, Hey You, Comfortably Numb, Run Like Hell, never cared for In The Flesh. The rest of the album is very meandering and boring that does ever really draw mw in whatsoever. This is coming from a huge Pink Floyd fan, I honestly think that The Final Cut is more consistent than The Wall even though it's not a great album either.

the wall is probably my biggest guilty pleasure.

I like it, but im fairly certain its only because my dad loved it (and we saw roger waters perform it live together). other than that yeah I wont listen to it, because aside from the nostalgia it brings, I think it (and PF in general) is pretty much throwaway music.

Throwaway music?

One of the best trifectas in rock history IMO.

Also I like Waiting for the Worms a lot.
