The chorus. I mean, I never thought I'd have to prove that Matt Bellamy has a higher voice than Thom Yorke. I guess the fact that Thom's almost ALWAYS singing in falsetto gives off the wrong impression.

Matt Bellamy shmellamy.

I think Velvet Revolver's debut is a good album (I think that's an unpopular opinion).

Okay, sure Closer was one epic suicide note, but that doesn't make the music inside it good.

Who's Next and What's Going On have no place in lists of classic 70s albums.

Untouched by the Veronicas is the best song of 2008.

When musicians bring politics into an album, it dates the material badly and (in most cases) uses it as a replacement for actual good music (I'm looking at you, Public Enemy).

What's with all the PE hate here? They're probably the most important, groundbreaking Hip Hop group of all time and not just because of their politics, the politics aren't even the man reason they're so important.

I hardly ever listen to the lyrics with PE. The beats are brutal adn way before their time.

only a child suffering from head trauma would dismiss public enemy altogether, but then again this is an unpopular opinions thread...

Kurt Cobain was nothing but a self-indulgent, egotistical prick who shot himself leaving behind a wife and kids. How a man as irritating as him got famous spewing out the mindless droning dribble that he did is the only thing that amazes me more than the fact that a prick like that doing himself in after injecting himself with stupid amounts of gear has become a poster boy for every whiney, snivelling, ungreatfull bad haired, attention seeking little fat kid on the god damn planet.

(I didn't even read the purpose of this thread but I've been dying to get that off my chest for a while now, and I finally got my opening)
