Fear Of Music is so much superior to that album.
I agree with 100% of this post.

Wait a minute, Urban didn't you once say that Once in a Lifetime changed your life?

That's like my least favorite song on the album too. And I don't really think it has THAT much world music elements, just the percussion and some of the vocal harmonies, like I Zimbra the world music stuff is subtle and it doesn't become a gimmick.

So tell me again why the first three albums are so great while somehow this is a steaming pile of puss spewing sh*t, give me a reason other than it being the most popular album.

I don't really think it's THAT much of a departure from Fear of Music, they took the best song from that album and expanded on some of the ideas explored in that. I don't think it's simply because of the world music influences that people consider it their best work, it simply has their strongest material, at least for a lot of people including me. Born Under Punches and The Great Curve are my top two Talking Heads songs.

It IS a transition album though. They really DID get really world music-ish with later albums.

I know that, I can still respond to what other people say.

I never said it was crap.

I said I don't understand the love for it, basically what I meant by that is I don't think it's their best album.

Of the first 4 albums, I really have no problem seeing why either one could be considered their best, that's one hell of streak.

Dunno if that's the case but it's just something I've noticed with Radiohead fans I've met/spoke to.

*Shakes head* Obviously you've yet to properly listen to In Rainbows and Hail To The Thief. The arrangements aren't something an ordinary person could create, only Jonny Greenwood could pull something this difficult off and the lyrics just move you, so brilliant, so unique, I mean, have you listened to Paranoid Android properly? The subtle layers of meaning are so bloody brilliant only Thom Yorke could write something like this.

And the fact that they chose to release In Rainbows for free download is such a bloody brilliant idea, only Radiohead could think of something like this and actually pull it off.

I'm telling you, Radiohead is no ordinary band, I'd say they are probably the greatest band of this decade, possibly up there with Pink Floyd and Bob Dylan. I mean, why do you think OK Computer is hailed as the Dark Side Of The Moon of the 90's?

No, just for some reason ultra-defensive people who wont allow me to tell them that i dont like her. Seriously, i dont get it. I dont understand why the majority of Gaga fans have to try and convince me that i am wrong for disliking her.

I like Help! too. It is a great pop album and although it may not be my favourite Beatles album, it would still rank quite highly.

Im sorry but was this a joke? Was this intended to be sarcastic?

Because if not, you just claimed that Radiohead were not "ordinary" people and that in fact they were the ONLY people that could do what Radiohead do.

I think you just proved his point about Radiohead fans.
