Eagles Of Death Metal I think are an underrated band. Love them.

Oh boy, here we go....

The Beatles. I know, I know, you're all jumping up screaming "What!? Are you serious!!?"

Well, yes. Yes I am.

I have, in the past, given them more than a fair chance, having listened to both the standard played-on-the-radio tracks and what some Beatles fans term 'the classic Beatles songs.' To me, they were just four guys in the right place at the right time when music needed something different, whatever that difference may have been. I cannot fathom why they are heralded as 'the best ever', their music has no impact on me at all. I find it dull, monotonous, throwaway ten-a-penny pop.
I don't say this to be deliberately controversial, this is my viewpoint on a band I consider vastly, vastly overrated.

I know that I'm not the only one and have been castigated on other forums for daring to say this. I hope more people on here can accept my viewpoint.

Fire at will!!!

It's alright not to like The Beatles, and many people on this forum feel the same way that you do. Not myself, I'm quite a fan, actually, but it's not as risky here to say that as you think.

The only - ONLY time I've ever seen any sort of reaction to this kind of statement is on an actual bell-bottoms and bushy sideburns loving classic rock forum. On any other general music forum this is the standard attitude, especially when the average user is well under 30.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Mogwai has become overrated.

I can't stand ABBA. They've had a crapton of hits, but every single song o'theirs is some standard feel good pop song, it's all the same as far as I've heard it.

I also can't stand most of the synthesizer pop songs from the 80's. And the Bee Gees are awful. Just awful. Bands like these should've never been famous, it's just terrible.

Over: Arcade Fire... they're ok, just not up to the hype imo. Radiohead. I'm a fan been to see them, but KOl was balls

Under: Alkaline Trio, M83 and Bloc Party

Agree. I'm fond of them but they've become overrated. They are Celtic FC supporters though,... so I'll let them off with it

I don't like most of Abba's songs for the same reason, but the material toward the end is darker and much better. For example, "Winner Takes It All" and "The Day Before You Came."
