Trying to up my average a bit by squeezing in as many albums as possible tonight... hehehehe... so far...

Abacab - Genesis
Future Spa - The Fauves
Aenema - Tool

and I believe I will keep going for some time yet...

I listen to music at all times when I'm on the computer. Which right now means just about all day.

Yesterday, apparently I listened to about 125 songs, and that was about average for listening time. Let's say the average song was 3 minutes, that makes 375 minutes of music time, or 6 hours and fifteen minutes. Of course some of the songs were longer, though. But yeah.

I just checked my latest weekly chart and I had 760 tracks listened to last week...that's an average of about 108/day!

It's kinda funny...since I've been following this topic, I have become much more aware of how much music I've been listening to (on average) during the day..and even more importantly, trying to find ways to squeeze an extra show/disc in before I go to bed...lol.

On a different take, even though I've been listening to more stuff then ever, because the songs are longer (15-25 min on the average)..my number of songs per day via Last FM keeps dropping...lol.

Hey this topic had exactly the same effect on me... I am now averaging a good, decent three hour or three album block once the litte'uns are in bed... May change next week though when I go back to my 5:30am wake ups when my other job starts up...

It won't help in regards to figuring out songs/time per week, but the last.fm normalizer is pretty cool for adjusting your artist charts based on actual listening time versus number of tracks played.

Here's a sample of the results, notice some of the big jumps in rank, indicating that those artists have a lot of long tracks. The artists that went down in rank are those with many short tracks.
