Meh. The influence is there but the music is rather uninteresting. I think I'll abstain from voting in this one.

No. I think he was more influential in his approach to guitar phrasing with riffs etc but although I don't mind his music I raely listen to him and it seems many don't on here either.

As influential as he may be, he's not a Musicbanter favorite at all, so I'm gonna go with Urban's reasons on this one.

I actually own a few Chuck Berry albums, I went through a huge phase a few years ago and still play him regularly. I consider myself a fan. I mean more than justified to vote him in. Although I must say I'm amazed by the showing of negative support here in the last few hours. At the beginning it looked like a walk-on.
